Hi. After 2 years youve posted this, I hope current laws are still relevant. What can you get from your pension if you leave after 2 or 3 years?

Hello, very informative and structured video Keep up the great work ! Seems like you have good understanding on this topic, where as I am still really bad at it even after 10+ years in Sweden. I have some queries on the same topic, if possible could you please share how may I connect with you. Thanks

Very informative video! thanks for sharing such nice video all the time. I am curious to know the estimated amount of pension that we'll receive at the Retirment age especially for the migrants who came at their mid carrier to Sweden. If you can share another video with examples, it will be great!
@Pranalee-NewGirl-inTown Жыл бұрын
You can easily estimate that for your specific case as well, just login to minpension.se and you can see directly how much you shall get once you retire..indeed its a good topic for my upcoming videos…thanks again..

Thanks, a very good explanation.. but I have some more! Sweden is known for its high taxes.. its juste this, not everything is taxes that one see it in other countrys. A big chunk is pension, healt insurance, whealt insurance/(you are not put on the street).. and there is more, like free education, parental leave! The thing about pension is, you pay to a govermental run fund, so one is independent of ones employer.. and it supose to cover about 50% of your last salary.. if one have working in sweden ones whole life! The other part of ones pension, is "premiepension", it supose to give about 15% extra.. and one have to chose a private fund for that.. its actualy not the whole truth, becuse a majority didnt chose any, so its stuck in a govermental fund.. and they have managed that fund as good as any private fund.. or better in many cases.. mainly becuse low administration costs! On top of that, there is collective agreed pensions, that moste companyes pay.. it supose to give about 5-10% extra, if one have worked a whole life in sweden! Soo, one is living in sweden as a pensioner, and have a low income, then one can get economic suport up to minimal living standard! If one leave sweden it dosent follow you, one have to ask for suport in that country one live in! To sum it up.. one get pension in proportion to who much one payed to that system!

Just a question, if you leave Sweden after 2 or 5 years ( could be any number) then you will get occupational pension but for getting AllmänPension, one need to be in sweden for atleast 6 months in a year.

Informative video. Was wondering how you can get the pension even after you leave Sweden as you mentioned towards the end.
@Pranalee-NewGirl-inTown2 жыл бұрын
You need to maintain a bank account in Sweden.. n once u hv a personal number in Sweden it will in governments records forever… these details are enough to get ur pension
@tushargoyal622 жыл бұрын
Let's say I return to India after working for 10 years. I will probably have to close my Swedish bank account. I might still have the personal number though. Am I still eligible to avail the pension amount I accumulated in those 10 years?
@Pranalee-NewGirl-inTown2 жыл бұрын
U r eligible to have .. but without a bank account how are you going to have it? It will not be transferred to ur Indian account.. u need to maintain a account here
@Pranalee-NewGirl-inTown2 жыл бұрын
Atleast for now that is the process.. may be in future can change or global income can be transferred but not now
@tushargoyal622 жыл бұрын
But then can I, as a non-EU citizen, still maintain an account in Sweden if I am no longer there?

Hi. Just to add, what can you get from your pension if you leave after 2 or 3 years?

Great video. Is it 14 or 40 years to meet the minimum?
@Pranalee-NewGirl-inTown Жыл бұрын
Thanku😊… sorry I am not able to understand, can u explain ur question bit more ??
@stac_y_with_no_e Жыл бұрын
Sure. I meant how many years do you have to work in Sweden to qualify for pension benefits? I think you said 14 or 40, but I was not sure. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question.
@Pranalee-NewGirl-inTown Жыл бұрын
To get guaranteed pension you must live in Sweden for 40years … when you are not getting any other kind of pension (ex. Occupational or National pension) then government gives a you a minimum amount in the form of guaranteed pension to survive in Sweden.. the eligibility criteria for this pension is “ to live in Sweden for 40years” ..

Curious, what if you have a 401k and move to Sweden and then retire many years later. I assume you can’t use the 401k anymore for retirement right?
@Pranalee-NewGirl-inTown2 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if I have understood ur question..but if u plan to save the money that you bring into the country then you should be able to use it for your retirement.. if you r saving you might need to pay taxes on ur savings&interest..
