Is the recoil tube removable? If so, is it easy or complicated?

Hi, Is it possible to increase the drop of the stock beyond the maximum possible with the standard shims provided? I'v set up the 828U with the maximum drop possible, keeping the same cast setting that it arrived with from factory, but I'm still seeing too much rib for skeet shooting. (& I'm shooting high as a result...). Looks like I need at least another 1/2" of drop at the comb. Any help w/b much appreciated. Happy with 828U otherwise. :)
