I loved our Bengal - she passed away a few years ago at the age of 23! And was fit and crazy active until nearly the end. As you say, not so much Siamese-talkative, but very "articulate" and usually wanted the last word in any "conversation". The funniest thing I every saw her do - and I'm making no exaggeration here! - was to sit outside in the courtyard (enclosed, but open to the sky) in a torrential rainstorm, yelling back at any thunderclap. Crazy creature!

This video is the most accurate portrayal of Bengal cats that I have seen to date. Two of these wonderful felines, now 14 and 12 years old, share their lives with me. They actively swing atop doors, climb to the highest shelf, turn somersaults when playing, carry on telephone conversations, perform tricks only if there is a treat reward, go for walks on/off leash, watch videos with me and much more. They are great friends and companions and full of love.This breed thrives on human interaction. Thank you for this video and best wishes to you and your bengals.

Bengals all have common traits, and many differences but the one trait that I enjoy the most is their personal bonding. While many cats bond well to humans, Bengals take this to a higher level. You need to have some scheduled events with your bengal every day. For example, every evening Rosey and I have our sports time. Her favorite toy is a giant curved tie-wrap. You can also use a curved 10" piece of #12 wire. You don't just throw it. You have to throw it just over her head so she can jump up to grab it. She wants it to be a sports event and she will find hiding spaces where she can jump out to grab it. Many will also fetch, but Rosey will ONLY fetch if you've thrown the object behind something. If she has to work to locate it, she WILL bring it back to you without fail, but if you just simply throw an object and it lands somewhere in plain sight, she will simply "tag it" with her foot, look at you, and leave it there while she goes back to her hiding station! She reminds me of a baseball player tagging 1st base! You can also have discussions with these cats and sometimes they will argue. I also have a Siamese and they also have personalities, but the Bengal personality is more pronouced. If you want a real companion and you're willing to interact with them each day, they will be a loyal companion for you.
@kirikayumura60153 жыл бұрын
it's funny that you mention this.. I noticed fairly early on that with mine, he'll only attack a toy if he has to jump to catch it.. just dragging it around in front of him and he'll ignore it. It presents a challenge for me because I have a male Tabby who always wants to play if he sees me playing with the bengal.. but he (the Tabby) prefers me to slowly drag a toy around corners so he can stalk and pounce on it. So I have trade off between using the toy in the air in unpredictable motions above his head (for the Bengal) vs. slow/fast dragging it on the floor(for the Tabby).. or using two toys one in each hand and trying to multitask.
@kirikayumura60153 жыл бұрын
@@jamilakhtar8889 Why would you want to know that? Are you trying to start a cat fighting league? If that was just not stated clearly and you're wondering how well they can get along in a multi-cat home, I've had no problems with mine. He was introduced to the other cats when he was a kitten though.. and their personalities worked out such that introductions were easy. If you really are interested in instigating cat-fighting, then I can't help you, nor do I want to.

the bond is BFF status. my cat wants to follow me if I'm walking. never more than 12 ft away. I love her.
@HISINC Жыл бұрын
That's a great idea! I have a small cat toy tied to the line of a child sized fishing rod (a small rod works best in the living room). I cast it out and reel it in and Asia is on the chase! She loves when I jerk the line so the toy "jumps" so she has to leap to catch it. We do this almost every morning for about 20 minutes, and it satisfies her need to play and seems to deepen our bond.

My Bengal used to come into the shower with me! It started because he would often sit outside the shower and keep shouting at me, until one day I opened the shower door and said "what?! what do you want?" and he came in! So I picked him up and held him up against me so he could rub his face against mine or bump heads, as he liked to do and slowly stepped back under the shower. I thought he would freak out and jump down once he got wet, but instead, he started rubbing his head against mine and purring! So after that, I used to let him join me in the shower if he wanted to...much quieter than trying to keep him out! :-D

I have my first and probably my last Bengal. I love her deeply, but she requires more attention than any cat that has ever owned me before. She wakes me in the morning by yeowling outside my door and then continues yeowling at me until I play or until I leave. If we play, she will then give me the high honor of petting her. If I don't play with her because I have to betray her by leaving for work, she does not sit with me at night. I dare not pick her up; she's very clear that SHE will allow me her presence on my lap when she chooses. She is beautiful and can be very affectionate on her terms, but there is no question that I am her pet human and she is not my pet cat.

My cat is only half bengal and she is sooo different from other cats I had in the past, I just have to love it. From waking me up by opening the window blinds only to have a small snack and fall asleep afterwards early in the morning to being extremely clean with her toilet hygiene and complaining loudly every time when I took to long to clean her litter box, and I do it usually 1-2 times a day.

Oh, and she has such a heart of gold! A while ago my father passed away and when I got the phone call in the morning I was verry sad and did not really know how to react or what to do, I was just sitting in my homeoffice and there was so much going through my head - my cat took all her favorite toys and piled them up next to my feet and did not let me alone until my girlfriend arrived in the evening to be there for me. She did not want to play with me with her toys, she just noticed, that I felt sad and thought, that those toys usually make her happy, when she is sad, so it must work the same way with me and she decided to share her toys with me, at least for a while. 😀

He would fetch and carry like a dog and if there was a fly in the house he couldn’t rest until he had caught it, destroying the house in the process. He used to go across the street to annoy the neighbours dog. If we heard the dog barking we would know it was him annoying it. He was only a year old when he was knocked down by a car and killed.

I am truly sorry for your heartbreaking loss of Lyra, your Bengal cat. It's clear that she had a profound impact on your life, even though you only knew her for a short time. The bond you formed with Lyra, her intelligence, and the special moments you shared, like her sitting on the book with her name, created cherished memories. Losing a beloved pet is never easy, and the pain can be overwhelming. Please know that your love for Lyra and the beautiful moments you had together will always remain in your heart. May her spirit live on, and may her memory continue to bring you comfort and warmth. Sending you warm greetings from Croatia, and I want to apologize for the late reply. I explained the reason for the delay in my latest video.

i agree, just recently lost my Bengal of 14 years, Kleo. I am waiting for my second bengal to bring home next month because my house is so quiet and my first bengal brought so much joy and laughter into my life I wanted another one as soon as I could. Kleo was very smart and had a very strong personality and always made it very easy to get her point across to her humans via her yelling XD

My Bengals meow is hair raising at almost all times, even my vet says they always know when romeo is there because of his meow, louder than any Bengal they ever heard! I hope my next one is a bit quieter!

I have a mixed tabby. But she acts just like your bengals. (Coated brown and black stripes though) so adorable. Someone must have been breeding in the streets of Jersey. So loving.

I see you have many personal ,lovely decorations around the house. I'm am surprised the Bengals do not disturb or damage anything!
@CatVantageStory Жыл бұрын
Thank you for appreciating the personal decorations in my house! Bengals are known for their active and curious nature, but there are ways to protect your belongings from any potential damage. To ensure the safety of your items, provide your Bengal with plenty of toys, scratching posts, and interactive playtime to redirect their energy. Designate certain areas or rooms where valuable or delicate items are kept off-limits using baby gates or closed doors. You can also use pet-friendly deterrents like bitter sprays or double-sided tape to discourage interaction with certain objects. Additionally, offer alternative scratching surfaces and secure breakable items in less accessible areas. Consistent positive reinforcement and training can also help teach your Bengal appropriate behavior. By creating a stimulating environment and guiding their behavior, you can create a harmonious living space where your Bengals can coexist with your personal belongings. And i am so sorry for late reply, i explained in last video what happened.

I have a Bengal mix and he is a very social but a hight energy level cat 🐈. He eats breakfast with us and he is always near us during the days and nights. Trollet is curious and affectionate even towards visitors as well as children. He is calculating and can find ways to do things in his own little way. His name is so suitable because he is a real Troll a bit of a handfull, can be demanding and loud as well as very talkative too! We love him but he is for sure different from the cats we had when we got him ( he is a rescue cat found on the street). I had my sweet Anakin and he was a Sacred Birma and another rescue cat Nera who was a black and white tuxedo cat. 3 personalities and so different from each other but so adorable still! Trollet are for sure a more demanding cat than the other two was. The other two are highly missed and they have put their paw 🐾 prints for forever on our hearts.

I have a Male Bengal named “Sinatra” because he sings like Frank Sinatra and has the most amazing turquoise blue eyes. When he talks I just talk back and give him some attention and he stops singing. He just wants to socialize and not be ignored. I live on a wooded property and he has a cat door, so he can go in and out as he pleases. He constantly brings me birds and squirrels as gifts. Yesterday he brought me a beautiful red headed woodpecker. He didn’t kill it, so I had to catch it and I let it go. Lol. He is just an amazing good soul. The only mistake I made is not getting two bengals. I would 1000% get two bengal kittens next time. 👍

I love my Bengal boy he's just 2 years old and is so affectionate. He loves to snuggle up to me and sleeps a lot. If he doesn't sleep with me at night time he does wake me up by crying very loudly. Love him love him so much ❤️❤️
@CatVantageStory Жыл бұрын
Aww, your Bengal boy sounds absolutely purr-fect! It's adorable how he insists on snuggling up with you and has his own unique wake-up call. Who needs an alarm clock when you have a feline vocalist serenading you in the morning? 😄 It's clear that your bond with him is strong, and those snuggles and loud cries are just his way of showing his love for you. Cherish those special moments and keep enjoying the purr-fection that your Bengal brings to your life. ❤️🐾 And i am so sorry for late reply, i explained in last video what happened.

@CatVantageStory Жыл бұрын
Haha, it sounds like your Bengal has taken on the role of a fearless explorer and walking companion! Who needs a traditional dog when you have a Bengal that's ready to lead the way? Just remember to follow their adventurous spirit and enjoy the ride, even if it means taking detours to their preferred destinations. Happy walking and exploring with your hyperactive small dog...oops, I mean your Bengal! 😉 And i am so sorry for late reply, i explained in last video what happened.
