Solid B+ for the Bengals 2024 Draft. Only needed to Draft 1 TE and use the other pick elsewhere. I would've went after a RB or even another Lineman on either side of the Ball.

True I think the first 5 picks were solid and have a lot of upside potential. I honestly don’t like the 5 other picks after that besides . I’d give this draft a solid B+ the main thing that was unnecessary and triggered me was drafting 2 TE smh that pick could’ve been used on a RB,WR,DLine or OLine player💯💯💯💯

They did everything I wanted them to do. Upgrade OL/DL room, Improved the TE room and finally has a couple of guys not on one year deals, grabbed a high end WR and then more depth on defense. Not to mention added a monster punter for competition.

Duke Tobin and staff once again knocked it out of the park. They addressed all areas of need, and got great as well.

If u check the draft picks tape they all look good !! maybe Jenkins could gain a lil weight and switch off to DE if there is a future need there . I was even impressed by Josh Newtons tape out of TCU . Cant wait to see them on the field !!

I think the Bengals addressed all the holes in the roster they needed to. I think Amarius Mims will be an anchor on that right side of the line. I really like the Kris Jenkins pick,he’s always around the ball and has the power and technique to stop the run and get pressure on the QB. I also like the Jermaine Burton pick,gives the Bengals multiple options on the offense. Can play in the slot of the outside. I also like the Josh Newton pick as well. Both him and Ladanlian Tomlinson’s son was both really good in that horn frog secondary. Newton has the size and speed to play on the outside,and has really good hands batting away balls. Those four picks were all solid picks for the Bengals.

Loved it, what happens if he doesn’t make it to the next round? You get someone much worse or try and bring an underwhelming veteran in. Some times you have to take that swing to get the guy you want, many said he was the only other draftable NT other than Sweat.

I gave adding depth to the interior DL a solid "A". With offseason moves and draft choices, that should really shore up the depth rotation which has been lacking. There were too many health and character concern picks in the beginning three rounds. Looks almost like former HC Lewis was in the 'war room'.

I liked that they drafted by strongest needs. I do think they could have taken some chances, and move up and grabbed some players that were both needed and likely better. I know they liked Johnny Newton a lot. I would have liked seeing them get Jackson Powers Johnson. I do really like Amarius Mims. Love his attitude, and has real potential to be a true stud of a pick.

I really wanted to draft a guard and address cb with a better prospect. But I wanted to draft big uglies also and we definitely did that with DT and OT.

I think Jenkins is a great pick. Could be rotating with B.J. Hill or Rankins on pass or run plays. Gives everyone good rest during the games.

This draft was all about needs and risk reward. Mims won't have to use Mims right away and his abilitied are there. Cincy has came a long way improving that line and this is going to continue being tbeir concern until they find that Tackle that'll be there 10+ years. Jenkins and Jackson is a very smart use of their picks. Losing DJ Reader hurts but these guys should be able to replicate his production plus add depth in case 1 of them gets hurt. Burton is coming in to replace what was lost and if he shows he can be a number 2, then they can let Tee walk. The rest was just luxury picks to find a diamond in a rough. If none of them are, oh well.

Well, time will tell. I just noticed the Texans immediately traded up to grab the Ohio State TE the Bengals passed on right after this All was drafted. Last season the Texans, including Stroud, got multiple impact contributions from it's draft picks. They also already had a pretty good TE already that they quickly re-signed long term so he is a luxury. All in, is what I call it. Bengals are still not all in.

Until these guys play it is all speculation. Bengals draft isn't considered a winner or loser but they did draft to fill specific positions. Best player's they could have selected though? Positions that could use more help? Right now the window of opportunity is just 2024 as this franchise has proven that. Bengals seem to struggle to replace guys with bargains. Latest bargains are Rankins, Zack Moss, Stone the steal for the secondary as he is called, Gesicki for one year. Lot's of hope yet Philly signs it's top two wideouts (Smith and Brown) to long term deals, they have a franchise QB in Hurts, an excellent TE, drafted very well for their defense, in the meantime fans, Bengals tag Higgins, pick-up Chase's 5th year and haven't even talked long term with him, Hendrickson is tired of low pay, lazy draft pick edge rushers (Murphy, Ossai, Sample), and getting beat up. Locking up Joe Burrows long term was a no brainer really. Sometimes a guy will develop faster with good players around them. Folks, other teams are coming up with the money, like Philly. Draft grades are meaningless, we hear them every single year. Myles Murphy got a B+ and after year one his impact was D. Chase Brown was C. How about grading so-called depth already on the team. Trayveon Williams, Chris Evans, Drew Sample, and places where serious drop offs either occurred or no impact. These guys are 5th and 6 year vets. Nick Scott was a bargain, so was Irv Smith. Draft picks like Joey Porter DB in Pittsburgh excelled. Who in the secondary a year ago in Cincy excelled? They looked slow and very lethargic. Awuzie now in Tennessee, good luck with that. Jonah Williams, from a leader and first rounder, to a guy that if there is talent, he might get a part of the credit in his Christmas Stocking. Drew Sample to capped out underachieving to three year extension? Do the Bengals really have a good coaching staff? Lou was in line for a head coaching position until his defense, healthy a year ago, was run and passed over at will. What is different about this year? Joe Burrow? McPherson the kicker is ultimately what got them to the Super Bowl three years ago. He made all his post season kicks, some well beyond 50 yards, and Cincy needed ALL of them to get past both Tennessee and KC. Bullock would not have done that so that trip would have never happened. Lot's of young podcasters and guys thinking they know and they don't. You keep getting beat off the field you will get beat on it. Steelers and Ravens know what they are doing. Burrows is the Bengals savior. Smiles from Zak Taylor, optimism, so what now is going to be the difference? Bengals have spent a ton up front to protect Burrow because they can't draft to do it. So what is Mims going to do? Room with Carmen? Working toward the next Travis Kelcie or Andrews at TE. They seem satisfied with Drew Sample. Where is the improvement going to miraculously come from? I am having fun this is relatively easy sorting through all the BS positivity I keep reading. More goes wrong then right.

The fact that Cincinnati didn't draft a running back, I was really hoping they would very swiftly pull the trigger on Carson Steele, to be our UDRFA. Instead, that big bodied running back. Who has proven the ability to break tackles and run through people. Is a Kansas City Chief. This is an extremely frustrating fact. Just as frustrating as when Matt Araiza became a Kansas City Chief when he was clearly available.
