I saw so many positive reviews I was curious about the GV70. Then I saw a row of them passing a dealer, pulled in and asked for a test drive. Drove a Uyuni white over red/charcoal 3.5 Sport Prestige, and traded my Q50 Red Sport on the spot. I've owned Germans and Jags over the years, Genesis has nothing to apologize for, the GV70 is a great crossover, beautiful design, fantastic tech, and my favorite feature a HUGE difference in drive modes, comfort is luxury, Sport+ is rowdy, very cool, set the drive mode to your mood. Add the warranty and concierge service and there is a strong value proposition. Genesis is a player..............

I’ve had one of these since last September. It is by far the nicest vehicle I’ve ever owned. The safety features are insanely good, and better than anything else out there under $100k. The luxury is also. I’m so impressed that Genesis managed to pull this off at this price. I loved the safety features so much that I got my wife a Kia Sorento PHEV that has the same safety features, but the incredible mpg.

Better than anything under 100K? That's a big stretch.

@@MercOne yeah, you’re right. It’s a stretch. Let’s put it this way, I drove a Tesla Model Y before this, and prior to changing to this, I test drove an X3 M40i, and compared active safety specs with the Merc GLC, Audi SQ5, Lexus RX, Volvo XC60 and XC90. None of those matched this. So it’s a bit under $100k. But it is seriously impressive.

@@t1328 Tesla’s are junk. I don’t get the fascination with safety features I mean they all have pretty much the same things either one way or another. After a while it’s just filler.

@@MercOne I agree Tesla’s are nowhere near as good as they’re made out to be. But in terms of not understanding the fascination with safety features, I guess you’re lucky you haven’t been in situations where they’ve saved your life. I have, so I find them very important. More importantly research has shown that for example active blind spot monitoring, that not only warns you when someone is in your blind spot, but also warns you when someone is speeding in the lane next to you and is about to be in your blind spot, reduces the occurrence of blind spot related accidents by 11%. That’s just 1 example. Forward collision prevention, and other similar active safety features have also had similar if not larger impacts. Cars with these features implemented well are cheaper to insure as a result. So to each his/her own, but to me, the safety features are absolutely important.

@@t1328 They’re compensation for poor drivers imo. No one needed all this junk just a few years ago. People today don’t know how to use mirrors and have terrible driving hobbits and don’t grasp what defensive driving is. These Nannies are creating an entire generation of totally helpless drivers.

Not as fast as the Benz or Bimmer. (Quicker than the Audi though!) But more luxurious and far more reliable than any of those Germans. Which one you like best? That's up to you. But this is certainly a credible option.

I saw one of these up close while eating out this week. Very impressive automobile inside and out. I've gotta compare pricing to the Mercedes-Benz for my wife. I want this vehicle!😎

@@rahimi4762 I haven't heard that at all. Actually they where ranked #1 in 2020 JD Power dependability reports. You need to do more research!

@@raynardceaser6897 You gotta do more research, the 2020 JDP Dependability study is for 2017 model year vehicles, not Genesis newest vehicles. The 90 day surveys are useless, it's the JDP Dependability study that tells the true story, but that looks at vehicles from 3 years ago until present, which would not include this GV70.

@@MercOne I see what you mean. There are unbelievable acclaims on the GV70 in Korea where the birth place of Genesis motor. Seeing is believing. Great enough to spare your time to look it up and to test drive.

Another GREAT review! I like that the Navi is so far away..can use the dial/pad and not get fingerprints and swipe marks all over it! ;) My only wishes..that they would add HUD to the 2.5L. Get WIRELESS Carplay for all. And finally, add a nice camel/palomino interior color option. The blue/red is a bit too patriotic for me. I don't want black. The Vanilla Beige is so light in color that I worry about clothing staining it (I have a white leather chair for work and it's now a dingy gray from my black pants..and YES! I wash them!). Also, saw a comment on FB that the 2023 doesn't have ambient light in the door panels like the 2022...that's a bummer! Maybe they'll update for 2024!🤞

If you lease it, who cares. Depends how long you want it to last if you buy it. If you buy and drive for 8+ years you'd be crazy to buy this over a Lexus, Acura or Infiniti or Caddy. No Hyundai or Kia engine will last as long as those others. Compared to the Europeans?? LOL, forget that. The Euros are in another league.
