Removing the appliqué in favor of badging was a big mistake. I understand they were having issues with them coming undone but they should’ve went back to the drawing board

I really don’t think that has anything to do with it. I think it’s all about making the assembly line run more idiot proof and probably cutting cost but yet charging the customer more!

Antimatter Blue is definitely the best Ford paint color. Even XLs look like Platinums.

I had a 21 king ranch antimatter blue. Half the time it looks black. I wish it was more blue

Getting rid of the tailgate applique was a huge mistake. Ford keeps going backwards as their prices go up.

The OEM bedliner can't be compared to a LineX bedliner. I just ordered this same truck and my dealer is getting a LineX sprayed in.

The appliqué on the tailgate no longer appears due to the new style Pro Access tailgate that is coming. What Ford should have done is made the appliqué standard for those not getting the new tailgate. Also, no Coyote option on King Ranch is a disgrace FoMoCo!!!

Yeah, just like any truck with the fold down shifter should have the work surface standard but ford don’t think that way.

If money was no object this is exactly how I'd spec an F150. From the paint to the PowerBoost, this truck is my dream.Right down to the General HTS60 tires,perfect imo.

They should have kept the King Ranch badge on the back. That’s one of the coolest thing about the king ranch in my opinion, I love all the badging, it gives the feeling of a true country man car

I am a Ford guy, but the new upgrades do nothing for me. Infact my 2016 KR with the chrome package makes this one look like a plain Jane.

You missed an opportunity to show off the mobile desk (recess the shifter and flip the console to "desk mode"), and I would LOVE to see a King Ranch Raptor edition!

For how much more Ford is charging for their trucks over Chevy GMC they can put a bed liner in it from factory! Plus 79k for this truck (I know it has everything) but I can buy a Chevy 2500 Ltz diesel

Can you do a side by side comparison on the 14 speaker unleashed sound system vs the 18? I’m noticing several spots of cost cutting. Could you do a video pointing out all the cost cutting measure? Even the base trucks have smaller compact headlights which don’t look bad but it was a way for ford to cut cost.

@@BenHardyCars Ford has a lot of money. With all the money they make, they could, and should, come out with an improved iteration of the 3l Powerstroke. If they did that, GM would probably be back in the toilet with 1/2 tons.

I am glad that it is this King Ranch Trim, and then the Platinum. The Limited was the one to get rid off, since a Lariat with leather is basically the same thing as the Limited.

Aside from the plusher seats, and all the badging, theres nothing in it you cant get in a full load lariat for cheaper

King Ranch and cheaper don't really go together in the same sentence. Lariats are super nice, and can be spec'd exactly the same or better. for me personally it's the style of the king ranch that cannot be imitated in any other trim, Specifically the brown cowhide leather and on my model the KR specific paint combo, things like that. For most people whose age doesn't start with a five or more get lariat or something cheaper even because you're not going to keep it as long as old people are I intend to keep my KR till im gone, and I'm only 51. If you do know exactly what vehicle you want, get a high spec used truck and commit to upkeep using the money you saved. for me personally high trim levels carry a lot of long-term value in terms of comfort satisfaction overall happiness with the vehicle. buying something like that new is a recipe for financial disaster but if you search you can find your truck or car built just the way you would have and massively depreciated, then just take care of each and everything that comes up in your truck will keep you happy forever

Agreed! I have a 2017 King Ranch that I traded in a 2015 Platinum for. I like the King Ranch style a lot better!

I've become a pretty serious truck person, but the "King Ranch" branding always makes me chuckle... just the name of it: "King Ranch". It sounds so silly.

I should say "I've really grown to appreciate trucks"? or "These days I find myself enjoying trucks more than before."? Either way... "King Ranch" always makes me laugh when I say it, it just sounds so silly. Truck is nice though.

Do they not have the speakers in the headrests anymore? Isnt that a downgrade. They already never brought back the display in the temperature control knob after the 2021 model. Said it was the chip shortage yet its 2024 and they still havent brought it back. Just seems like they said screw it people havent complained, no need. Kinda cheap.

Why did they get ride of the factory blind spot glass side mirrors? Ford should have offered solid color KR's. I would buy a solid tri coat white, oxford white or gray KR. I refuse to drive a truck with a doo-doo stripe down the side. Thanks!

I guess you have to buy a new Super duty to get the tailgate applique 😠.... Now the KR and platinum just looks like a XL or work truck from the rear. BIG FAIL FORD..................
