Not just more expensive fuel, but you have DEF that is an extra cost. But ultimately diesel is best for towing heavier loads more often, and gas will work for part time towing with not as heavy loads. Also where you live, can have an effect on which truck you get. If you are in a much higher Elevation, diesel would probably be better.

We have 2020 F350 Tremor 7.3 and love it. No problems and towi26’ rv is a breeze. Added Banks pedal monster and is amazing. No DEF and cheaper oil changes too

Do a video on what happens when somebody puts DEF in the Diesel tank. New fuel system $12K or also a new motor another $25K?

My 2014 F150 Supercrew FX4 5.0L steel body averages 18.0 mpg. I also haven't reset my gauges since January, or my Trip A, and Trip B readings. I reset those once a year. I know the Super Duties are both heavier, but 15.0 mpg in a diesel with the altitude is good. The 7.3L will be the guzzler.

What was your actual opinion of the two engines? Diesel engines require a lot of maintenance. Gas engines produce less torque and use more fuel. What is the overall cost between the two trucks? I ask this because you test these vehicles every week. I drive a 2018 tacoma work truck with 155,000 miles, but it’s not my personal vehicle. I’ve had it since late 2017. All the miles I’ve put on it were mine. But I’m torn between 1/2 ton and super duty for a personal truck.

Buy the super duty so you can do truck stuff when you need. Especially since you have a work truck provided to you. IMO anyway

The Power Stroke diesel is effortless because of all of the low end torque but the 7.3 Godzilla V-8 sounds great. I prefer the diesel engine because of it being effortless and better fuel economy. Yeah the gas engine costs less in the Ford Super Duty but it uses more fuel, so it kind of evens out and depends on what the buyer needs or prefers.

Yes, but your service is less frequent in the deisel than gas. Over time, it comes out to be cheaper and you can tow more.
