My favourite Spanish Eurovision entry is Bandido in 1990. The 2 women come on stage and totally miss their entry vocals. "The moon bewitched me and took me to you" is the line they should have sung, in Spanish (obviously - La luna me embrujó y me llevó hasta ti,). Walked off stage in disgust at each other. But were given a segunda oportunidad

A'reyt Lucy. Welcome to 2025. Best wishes for you and all reading this. Years back it would have been a pub crawl in fancy dress for New Year not far from where you grew up. These days it is watching the fireworks on TV. Sophie Ellis-Bexter did a decent show, but reminded she was just a bump on Blue Peter back when folk watched BBC regularly, then Hootenanny on BBC2, with increasing numbers of pensioners in the audience. Your mention of Eurovision Song Contest made me think that it feels like it needs to be an occasion to watch the traditional channels now. Your channels are a better alternative, especially with videos like the recent trip up the mountain or holiday to New York.

I'm back there on 25th January for my 66 th old age pensioner birthday, staying at the RH victoria and spa in the old town. We were at the same hotel November / December as well. Benidorm will have to drop it's prices though, I've got 10 days in Tenerife for £700 per person in early April about the same as I've paid in Benidorm ? Happy new year !

Flying out to alicante region tomorrow, weathers looking great around 19/20c thru the day and actually fairly mild on a night! Basically its like a good june day in the uk haha Its the sort of temperature where you can sunbath in just a pair of shorts but if your walking round with a coat on you dont sweat, but believe you me it simply does not get cold in southern spain compared to the uk!
