Yes, for the past 5yrs the EU have been forcing Spain and other EU countries to remove dams in the name of "the environment", several hundred just in Spain, blithering idiots. They'll blame the climate-scam, but they were all built to prevent what happened. They're not happy destroying the countryside with wind-farms and solar, now they want to wash away the population. Oh, ask the Moroccan's why it's been raining so much 🤨

It's always flooded, we know that for 100's of years, the major flood in the 50's is why the Turia River bed that bi-sects Valencia centre is now a beautiful park. The river was culverted around the city to where.......the recent flood was worst.

Yes, you are correct ' the dams were built to stop the flooding until the EU stepped in and told them to remove them , the dams were to stop the over flooding. EU interference

The Valencia Spain flooding was caused by what is known as a Gota Fria event. Cold air descending over the warm Mediterranean. It other words the excessive rain was due to a cutoff low fueled by the warmth of the Sea.

When i went to benidorm for my 18th i went to a new bar which opened this year called chamilys great bar friendly staff i recommend you doing a food review and get the greedy gut breakfast and if eat all of it you get a free pint i struggled but just about ate it all, if you go say Zane recommend your bar they might remember me
