i have been to the 100 bad a few times in madrid. it is what it is, cheap 1 euro sandwiches and a beer for 2 euro so the quality wont be amazing.

I have been to that 100 Bar 10+ times over the years and the last 2 or 3 visits have not been a pleasurable experience. Add to that the noise from the School opposite at Lunch / break time and it is doubtful that I will go back again. Coming to Benidorm in February for 3 weeks & it will be a shame not to visit the Bar because it had become something of a tradition for us to spend a quiet afternoon there with a few Beers and some food. Oh well, plenty of other places to while away the time. Thanks for the video.

Yess, it's also very commercial, a few great places there, but others too pricey and not worth it. Really a touristic attraction by now

What a shame you didnt like 100 Montaditos. We have never been to the Benidorm one, but have been to the ones in La Zenia, Elche, Santa Pola, Orihuela, Torrevieja and Alicante. Almost all cost €1 on Wed and Sun as you mentioned. You should have picked your own and you perhaps would have had a better time. We love we can get a 540ml cerveza for €2 and patatas fritas con 4 salsa for €2 any day in prime locations without inflated prices.

Yes we love the one in Puerto Rico, gran canaria it's just outside the shopping mall great for ice cold beer and yummy snacks after a shopping trip😊

Soy jefe de cocina jubilado y pongo mi mano en el fuego que esas albóndigas son industriales,no son malas "per se" y si les preparas una buena salsa casera se dejan comer pero nada tienen que ver con las caseras que por precio y tiempo de preparación no serian factibles en ese tipo de establecimientos.

en ese tipo de establecimientos si que se preparan las albondigas caseras, al igual que las croquetas por ejemplo, no digo que esta lo sea, sino que hay lugares, como por ejemplo La Croqueta que mencionamos, donde si son preparados por ellos y son croquetas feuchas, pero increibles de sabor!

We had tapas from a bar in October and ended up with food poisoning from serrano ham. Ruined our holiday. So no more tapas for us. Was in Benidorm for Xmas, was brilliant.

We ate at 100 in Marbella on the seafront, the montaditos were fine but boy was the beer expensive. Going into Benidorm tomorrow, we are staying in Cala de Finistrat, so I'll give the 100 there a miss

there´s plenty of great bars and restaurants at la cala finestrat, especially for typical spanish food. And try the Tapas Square in Benidorm, where La Croqueta is located!

I think comparing 100 Montaditos to a proper tapas bar is like comparing Burger King or McDonalds to a restaurante serving gourmet burgers. A Pomodoro to a Mexican or Italian restaurant. Basically I think 100 Montaditos comes across as a typical shopping centre fast food place with typical shopping centre fast food place quality.

Not really true, 100 montaditos is a popular place for tapeo, and it’s been for decades, it’s not a fast food place, lately it’s quality went downhill in Benidorm however. And it does serve a variation of typical Spanish tapeo - montaditos

Plenty brilliant tapas bars in benidorm, some fantastic restaurants, some you have to book months in advance. Chain's restaurants nearby are always not so good..

I love Spain and Benidorm, we walked past that first place last September, I remember looking at the food some people had, and thinking, no thanks. There are fabulous Tapas bars surrounding that one, I've been to many and rarely been disappointed.

i try to find places that do tapas that DO NOT come on a slice of bread. i belive Murcia and Nerja are more common for tapas like on a plate/bowl without the tourist slice of bread.Id love to know you recommendations. I did not like 100 mocachinos or whatever its called.we didnt realise how small stuff was and it wasnt great quality,so we went to Burger king afterwards for a meal🤣. we went to santapola.

The bread is not for tourists, it’s how it’s traditionally done, there are tapas that come with bread, and those that don’t, it’s just how it’s prepared 🤷🏻‍♀️ Murcia has more of those because their typical food is different 😊 tapas without bread on a plate/in a bowl are typically rations, not tapas 😊 I would have gone to Burger King as well after 100 montaditos 😁

TAPAS ( Top /lid) originally a piece of bread was put over tte drink to keep flies away Bars then started put tidbits on the bread SO BASICALLY TAPAS IS BREAD BASE If there is no bread and its in a bowl or plate it raciones are (not TAPAS) they are potions of food Montaditos are sandwiches So you are comparing Apples and oranges

@@BenidormbyAnaMy favourite Tapa is from Murcia called a Marinera and is basically a bread stick shaped like a fish stuffed with Russian salad dressed with a couple of Anchovies. 😋 When we lived in Almería (province) the tapas bars mainly sold Tapas y Raciones. A ración was a portion three times the size at double the price of a tapa. These tapas were served in little individual bowls or plates served with a basket of bread if you ordered a few of them. It wasn’t really until we moved to Alicante we encountered tapas presented on a piece of bread.

I don't like 100 montaditos, it's very corporate, very un-Spanish. It is cheap for negative reasons. We need to support places with salaried waiters and those places don't cost much more.

I like Benidorm but when I want good food i rather find small restaurants in Albir , Calpe, Moreira ++where all the locals go. Where is the best place with seafood in Benidorm / Alicante ?

In Benidorm for sea food the Port restaurant, it's inside of Club Nautico, Ulia is good as well, and a few others

Hi ana,what’s your thoughts on the zodiac,we’ve seen lots of videos where people went and said it was great and so inexpensive but when we went in July it was really terrible the wine was like vinegar and the food was really poor x

Honestly, I didn’t like it last time we visit it. If you spend more and get something slightly more expensive - might be good. But we didn’t have a good experience, and my husband is an expert in his country’s food 🤷🏻‍♀️

most such bars are now for youngsters who have too much money or tourists the square and inland to the square are by far the best and there are a few [very few now] in the centre of the town

Everyone knows who has been to Benidorm that this place is poor. The only people you see are the adults waiting for the children at the nearby school having coffee ( no food ). I believe there is a better one at Alicante.
