This is an old trick called "Icarus Effect", a reverse version of Criss Angel's famous self levitation. In the late 90's & early 2000. Self levitation became popular after David Blaine's street levitation. Many methods were invented or rethought, some ideas worked and some were impractical. Those were some good times, before KZbin, before mass production. The idea that a person could float anytime and anywhere was memorable.

Kris Angel did this exact same levitation however he levitated with his back facing the camera - same method just with the opening at the front of his pants instead of at the back.
