i do this trick for a couple of years and do it a little bit different.. I will not wipe my fingers, I will just dip the dirty fingertip in the ashes again and then make a spot on top of one of their fists.. then i just say : "take the other fist, press it on top of the spot.. rub them a little..yadidyada.." then they can turn their fists and open them and it looks like it wandered through their hand and they did it themself. So there is a little more confusion. Also when they think back, they reverse engineer "he had to touch me - when was that? ok only when he put the dot on my hand" .. they mostly dont recall the other touch then.. (eventhough i would say in larger groups still almost 50% will figure this out after awhile). And I agree the reaction is always killer the first minute or so ^^.

I have started going to school for my degree in network security and it has consumed more time than I would wish.
