Just got my BM 22. Cal rifle a few days ago...have been busy so haven't got the chance to test it out until today. Man this thing is smooth I was blown away at how quiet this thing is you can literally shoot this off in church and nobody will hear it. I live in a residential area so i was looking for something that wouldn't disturb the neighbors. This rifle is perfect for me and love the 10 round mag for quick follow up shots. Can't wait to use this thing on the squirrels, rabbits, and groundhogs that come into the yard!

I have the same rifle with the wood stock also in .22 caliber. I also have a Hawke scope on mine 4-16x50 AO Mil Dot IL. I love this thing and it is perfect for me. I have a Hill Mk 5 pump for mine. I'm looking at getting a compressor and scuba tanks in the future.

Bought mine 5 years ago for 499$ plus a Hawke 4-9X50 scope and bipod, it has been perfect, I have taken out over 120 squirrels, trying to get into the bird feeder.. Love it and back then magazines were about $14 got 3 more...Enjoy (buying a powered pump, too old for using the hand pump)

I've had my .22 Marauder for four years now. Needed a rebuild on the third year after shooting it tens of thousands of times, but it's easy to work on and all of the parts are available for cheap. Even a barrel is cheap if you feel like you lost the barrel lottery and want to try a different one. Also easy to tune if you have a chronograph. I've pulled off sub .5" groups at 50 yards using crosman domed pellets, a little better than the hollow points. Mine performs best right around 840 fps. Good airgun, tried and true.

How many decibels is it? Houses are close in my neighborhood and we have a bad rat problem. My current springer is 90 decibels which makes it too loud for use at night.

I’m not sure of the decibels but the pellet hitting a squirrel is louder than the air gun going off

That is damn good accuracy for a air rifle!! I have a Cheap 22 cal break barrel, thing sprays pellets all over the place.

My 11 year old can split playing cards in half with her Gamo break barrel. They are way trickier to be accurate with than a pcp rifle though.

The trouble with a break barrel is the fact that the barrel will never rest in the same place it was before. Its always possible to be a tad to either side. When I was younger i made a notch in my barrel to ensure it was always seated in the same spot

​@@nsboostexactly...I have a gamo magnum igt mach1 and it's extremely accurate..I can put all 5 inside a target center like what you see in this video at 30 yards..no problem..but..It destroys a scope every couple hundred shots...utg bug buster/bsa outlook/hammers/tasco air...all work great..all go to the trash in a few hundred shots..

Nice review. I just ordered this rifle, need to get a scope. Is that a dovetail rail? What scope mounts do you have there? They look pretty high, do you think a medium height would do the job?

Thanks. The mount is a dovetail. The height depends on how big your scope is. For me I need to put the scope that high otherwise the front of the scope hits the barrel.

Got my Mrod .22 the other day. I find that the bolt is hard to pull all the way back. Is that normal? Maybe it'll smooth out a little over time? Thinking I should oil it a bit.

I’ve never had any issues with that it’s been very easy to pull back the whole time I have had mine. Oiling may be a good idea

I think I misunderstood what you mean, when you pull the bolt back there is supposed to be a little resistance then a click at the end of the pull. There should only be a click on the first pull after a shot, if you rack it again without putting another pellet in it should be smooth. It's hard to explain.

To get if from 0-3000 psi, I’m guessing between 30-50 pumps. But after the initial fill I usually pump it back up to 3000 psi when the psi falls to 2000, and from there it takes less than 20 pumps.

Not 100% sure but I believe bicycle pump would work but you would need the adapter that clips onto the air gun fitting

I’m not sure how many pumps it will take from 0 psi, I would have to guess around 50. Also after around 50 shots the pellets will start to hit an inch or two low due to the psi not being as high.

I use crossman premier hollow points, 22 cal obviously. It’s less that 20 dollars for 500 pellets from Amazon.

My pump takes about one hundred pumps to fill for 1700 psi to 3000 psi and you have to push down hard.. I'm now 68 and buying an electric pump...

Judging by the comments both here and many other places it looks like the .22 is the most popular. Hardily anybody owns the .177 and the .25 caliber while cool can be difficult to locate pellets in stock and they are considerably more expensive. I rolled the dice and picked the .22 based on those options. When I am using this it means I need something less powerful and more quiet to my traditional firearms. If I can't kill it with this that means I need to go to the heavy stuff cuz this ain't working!

These are ok but not the crosman Barrels on it isn't giving the full potential! The barrels also float inside.It is not regulated either but it's ok if you don't need a ton of shots. It is good for first pcp gun and hunt. As for me... I like Kral Arms a lot better. They all have German steel rws barrels. I'm just saying. Research before you drop the dough

Yeah, I would highly recommend this air gun the only downside I’ve found is that it’s a hair bulky but everything else about the gun is amazing and outweighs the one downside I’ve found. Thanks for watching!

What the reviewer did not mention is the pumped air is good for about 25 shots ( although the manufacturer advertises 32 shots). Then you have to pump again! I was under an assumption the air would be good for few hundred shots. That’s a deal breaker for me and returned it.

you can buy an AirVenturi avenger and only by filling to 3500psi, it will give you 60 shots easily.

Yea it is. I've banged my barrel pretty hard enough times to know it's secure. The barrel band will prevent it from bending far enough to hurt anything. If you really want to you can do the o-ring mod though, but your accuracy might suffer, people have mixed luck with it.

@@bustinbrush well... half inch is twice as long as quarter inch, just saying. I just got a Marauder myself which is why I'm watching bunch of videos with Marauders. Just got it sighted in but only pellet I've tried is crossman premier. Not totally happy, get 2-3 flyers out of about 10 shots. I'll try the jsb when I get a chance maybe in a week.
