I mean, a lot of iconic Disney princesses were voiced by women over the age of thirty. Kristen Bell was solidly in her mid thirties when she played Princess Anna from Frozen. Her costar Idina Menzel was already in her forties when she voiced Elsa. Judy Kuhn was 37 when she voiced the titular character Pocahontas. Paige O' Hara was 35 when she voiced Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Anika Noni Rose, voice actress of Tiana from Princess and the Frog, was 37 when she did the film. It would appear that Disney itself hasn't set an age limit for playing a Disney princess. There's also nothing wrong with a "middle-aged woman" wanting to accept a role from a big company like Disney, should they choose to offer it. Opportunity like that, anyone would accept it, really, if only for the salary. I don't really feel very strongly about Laura Osnes, but there's certainly no need to be unkind to other people and call them "mentally retarded" or question their intelligence just because they have a certain opinion that differs from yours. In any case, if Disney does decide to offer her a role, and she does accept it, there's nothing anyone can do. And if Disney doesn't, then there's nothing to worry about anyway.
