You have no idea how much peace your video gave me. My mom died yesterday and today we had the funeral. I was her primary caretaker and she lived with me, i came back to a very silent home. I do have my brother and his family, so i wasn’t alone…. But its not the same. Seeing your singapore video gave me a little lift me up, and I laughed when you wrote you always wanted to see the Marina Bay Sands after watching crazy rich Asians because i also want to see them after that movie. Lol. Very glad your workshops were a success!

Benji, you don’t have to worry about public speaking at all. I find the way you talk very honest and soothing. I could listen to you for hours and hours. It helps me feel relaxed. And I never knew Chris would be the same. I love listening to his vlogs, even though we have different tastes in books. Just finished watching all his vlogs, a few two times (hope it doesn’t make me sound like a weirdo).

This trip to Singapore video was amazing!!! You guys did a great job at the workshop, Benji you did great with your students at the workshop, no need to be nervous anymore. I loved the graciousness of the people there. I would love to visit Singapore someday, to experience the beauty of the plant world there. I've been a plant mom for many years. However, I've learned so many new things, and creative ways to display plants by watching your videos. Your videos are never rushed or boring. Thanks for that.

So glad to see the growth you have accomplished since I started watching your videos. The workshops. The travel to various countries supporting your work. And don't worry about the public speaking. It will come and be comfortable with you. I told my son for those few instances he has had to publicly speak. Just get up there and do what they expect. They want you there. You belong there. Yes, they will listen to 'most' words you say. They will look at what you are doing. But they will listen and watch far more deeply if you stammer or falter. It will take time to gain the confidence. Until then do this... ... Visualize what the person they want to watch and listen to looks and sounds like. Visualize their confidence. Visualize their physicality of how they own the spot they are inhabiting. Then start to visualize replacing 'that person' with you. Visualize what that person/you looks and sounds like. Visualize the confident delivery of information that person/you are achieving. It's sort of a 'fake it till you make it' for public speakers. And it does work. It did for me. Will it work for others? Don't know. Some of it helped my son. Some didn't. And that's fine. You pick up what works. Discard (maybe just until a later time, maybe forever) what doesn't. After doing this for a while he was able to bring himself to take a public speaking workshop. Which he hadn't even been able to consider before. Also plan for all kinds of possibilities. All kinds of questions. All kinds of things going wrong within the project and how to get the situation moving forward again. Sorry for my dissertation. And for tossing info across the bough that someone could easily already know. Again, thanks for giving us a small small glimpse into your life. You're doing great. You already have a wonderful presence with your soothing vocals and easy manner.

Hi Benji, I had a quick suggestion that I think could be really helpful for a lot of people, including myself. Thank you for sharing your trip with us! I also went to Singapore and would recommend Gardens by the Bay to any plant lover. Even without the Cloud Forest (which has a ticket cost), there’s a lot of free outdoor gardens in the area (including a desert garden named Sun Pavilion, with huge cacti and euphorbia that I was surprised by because Singapore is so humid).
