We remember with much affection this ensemble when they were students at the Escuela Reina Sofía, one of the best quartets that have passed through our classrooms. We wish you a successful career!!

I saw and heard this quartet playing today in the Noorderkerk in Amsterdam and immediately became a big fan of them. The way they played the Kreutzer Quartet of Janácek to me was like music 'not from this earth''. The two violins, the viola, the cello, they each sounded as the instruments were meant to sound. I also loved the way the men communicated with each other while playing. It was an experience I would never have missed. And I was not the only one in the audience who was overwhelmed by this beautiful music; no simple sound or cough was heard duringe more than an hour from it and the quartet became a standing ovation. Thanks to the four players, who also played a difficult quartet of Mozart (nr. 15) in a same beautiful way. I thought it was a pity there was no radiorecording in the church, so that more people could have heard this perfect performance. Wish them all the best. Emma Albers
