For those of you watching because you want to go. YOU CAN DO THIS. But you need to show up prepared and with the right mindset. Ranger School is a marathon, not a sprint. And it will take real GRIT in order to get your Tab. 👍

Florida sucked a mop, but the flat terrain was highly preferable to that of the Mountains. The sleep deprivation really took its toll. A patrol would be filing forward over the dunes in the middle of the night, and would pause -- and you'd hear a crash as some guy fell asleep standing up during the pause, and slammed into the ground. There'd be a sort of low murmur of laughter around... but the problem was, any of us were destined to be the next falling-down guy. 11-74.

To me, this is the equivilent of our SEAL's. I'm glad the Rangers do this as it gives them the training they may need whenever the cause calls. I couldn't go SEAL as I was in a critical rating/mo, though I'm happy to see that we are teaching our young men and women now, the specific skills to succeed in any given mission!........If I were within the age limit after my nine years, I'ld go back in! In a heartbeat! My advice to you young men and women,...Stay with it and ride it to the end! Make a career! Retire! Just my two bits! God Speed and God Bless to whomever reads my post.

I know they said if you leave the wildlife alone, they'll leave you alone, but isnt there a risk of getting bitten or eaten by a gator when youre crossing that river?
@distortionwarrior11 жыл бұрын
You will get medical attention, but you will likely be removed from the program for not following orders (don't interact with the wildlife) or at least you will be dropped until you get off of medical hold. You and the leadership will likely be investigated and may be punished for the losses, depending on who is found at fault. Also, this is an honorable course to go to, so you don't want to draw negative attention to yourself like that.

@SideWays8Productions Yeah but with the world going the way it is a MEU might be the closest thing we have to the battlespace. Yes most branches can conduct an offensive operation, but because of the Marines close relationship with the Navy they are wherever there is a Carrier Battle Group and they arrive with a large amount of air power to back them up. So they might be our first in to be reinforced with what ever units we can mobilize quickly.

@SideWays8Productions Why assault a beach? Because Airborne are shit out of luck if they don't get resupplied. Remember Arnhem? How about Normandy? Guess we wasted all those troops on the beaches when we could have just had all our forces jump over the defenses. If the Airborne jump into an area they need to be resupplied at some point. And the only way to resupply them suficiently is by land. Oh and they have no heavy weapons.

Daniel Chan BFA’s they’re to stop a live round from being fired and to keep air pressure in the chamber of the weapon to shoot blank rounds. If the BFA is loose on a weapon it has a higher probability of jamming if the BFA is tight it will fire realistically without the actual projectile being shot

@goofoffproductions Lol, airborne can drop tanks, vehicles, supplies, everything. I've seen it done before. Of course there will always need to be beach landings. But thats never the "tip of the spear" assault. like you said, it's just to resupply and reinforce.

'RASP' IS Ranger School. It used to be called RIP. After you graduate from Basic Combat Training (BCT) and Advanced Individual Training (AIT) you go to Airborne School for 3 weeks, then you go to RASP which is 8 weeks. Some guys go to Airborne School after RASP though.
@YellowAlien048 жыл бұрын
No it's not. RASP gets you into the 75th Ranger Regiment. Ranger School gets you the Ranger Tab.
