hahah. Transcription has to be accurate!

The following two bars after the "make audible groan" sign during the drum solo (around 4:18) are my favourite piece of drumming in the song; the motif with the 32nd note bursts that glance off the high tom that gets repeated until it "resolves" with the two juicy crash hits on (1 & the "and" of one on the third bar, respectively) is awesome. Also the sound of the rimshots is perfection.

That must have been a huge task to make the transcription. Awesome.

This is great!! Wish I could find a transcription of the instrumental parts, Benny Greb's music is fantastic. I arranged 3/5 tel from his Brass Band album following the Moving Parts Live arrangement for a jazz fusion quartet for my junior percussion recital last year. I'm currently working on No. 1 from Two Day Trio for my senior recital. I'd love to play some of his Grebfruit stuff with a band some day though!!

Couldn't find it. But take this version and the one with drum only sound, put it in a daw and invert phase on the drums only track. And voilà ! You have a drumless version.

Also just the act of doing the transcription yourself is a fantastic way to expand on your vocabulary/stock of knowledge on the set

the transcription is insane! but honestly the backing track is really obnoxious and they should've stuck with original grebfruit

Ok - can we start again please?Is there a human being who does the transcription of this masterful performance? Or is it software? Please don’t reply with any speculation as credit has to be given where due. Many thanks everyone.😀✊

Don't get me wrong, I love this transcription, but those dang lines for the hi-hat pedal just over complicates it and makes it so much harder to read fluently.
@Robbie1276 жыл бұрын
Placing it in a separate voice would have helped, yeah.
@TimBuell6 жыл бұрын
Peter Campion I can see your point. I find it helpful to have everything in the same system or in the same layer because you end up being able to see how every note connected (in time) instead of having to write broken rhythms with rests and all of that. It also saves a ton of room on paper and leaves space to write stickings below measures.
@petercampion90286 жыл бұрын
Great point, I can see how that would be useful. Oh yeah I can imagine. Really solid transcription though, must be so satisfying to complete it!
@palsko84144 жыл бұрын
It is funny seeing the transcription but, I will strongly recommend just giving a huge flying fuck in the actual transcription, for u guys that talked about learning the whole thing. Its gna take u longer to be a good drummer by doing that instead of doing ur own thing and fkin around on ur set!
