The song choices for this tribute could not have been more perfect by TNT.

I don't know what brought me here today... But it still gets me misty eyed for sure. Benny's television work is missed to this day, and as a human being even more. When it comes to his TV work, it's a shame that what I consider his best work is harder to find. Honestly, any of those 90's ESPN Qualifying shows where he was down in the pits mainly amongst his friends was some of the most genuine television memories one could get... I met Benny at Kentucky in 2003 at an ARCA race. You could not meet a nicer human being. Miss ya Big Guy.

Listening to Benny Parsons was like watching the race with your grandpa commenting on what's going on, him and Bob Jenkins with Ned Jarrett were the greatest broadcast team ever.

Yeah I love these old races specially for the commentary. It doesn’t feel forced like it is today and they were very good at commentating and breaking stuff down. It just felt so relaxed and natural.

I’ve been a nascar fan for a while but I’ve started to look into the history of the sport and I began to watch old races. Listening to Benny Parsons and the rest of the tnt was music to my ears. I found out that Benny died the other week and was just shocked he died that early. RIP Benny Parsons

I think BP would be very happy if he knew that North Wilkesboro is back on the NASCAR schedule again. It was always a dream of his to see the track up and running again, basically being a lifelong resident of that area and all. Godspeed BP. As NASCAR fans, we miss you everyday.

Loved Benny in the broadcast booth. One great memory of him describing a tight race car. He said when your hands at 2:00 and 4:00 on the steering wheel and you enter a turn you keep turning the wheel until your arms make a x. That's where you're going to hit the wall. Loved him, he helped make Nascar so popular.

I grew up listening to Benny Parsons when he had retired from racing to be a commentator in the 90s. He was the in-game commentator for Nascar 99 through Nascar 2001, and was an unlockable Legend character as well. Sadly, even though he had quit smoking in 1978, he succumbed to lung cancer.
