I find it odd that british developers are investing so much in massive enclosed shopping malls. In the USA many malls have closed and are being redeveloped into mixed use areas with street facing retail. The closest thing we have to this in DC is Crystal City (built in the 70s and much smaller) but it is being rebuilt as part of Amazon HQ2.

Those wide stairs at the end with all those doors in a row, they look like they could be some kind of emergency exit of a metro station. Do these stations have secret cold war nuclair shelters somewhere? When they built the metro network in amsterdam in the 1970’s some stations where appearantly equipped with some bunkers. These tunnels look like the ideal scene for a police chase scene for a detective series or some 90’s action movie. Somehow I get the association with the movie “Speed”.

You know there's a bunker under Canary Wharf. I doubt anyone could get to it because of who it's for, still interesting nonetheless.

Today I went to Canary wharf to do a lift tour and this time I went to Canary wharf tour and record about the tower being secured and then security came and told me what I was doing i told them I was doing urbex then they took my details and I got a 24 month ban
@benolifts2 жыл бұрын
Why would you give them your details? And why would you tell a place with an injunction that you are doing urbex?
