I’m glad you talked about uv sterilizer benefits in a freshwater aquarium as i fill it use is under utilised in our aquariums . They can be expensive in large aquariums but the benefits you’re mentioned are huge. From clear water to parasite free tanks and removing outbreaks to almost zero. The other option is why most of us don’t aim for a full cycle (biological) that can reduce nitrates to a very low level to zero level and clear water with very low water changes required . Most of the plywood aquarium guys on KZbin (Ohio fish rescue, diy king) are only using 1 big sump that just sends and receives water from all tanks. Maybe that’s an option we all could consider especially those that run a lot of large tanks.

Using an HMA Filter during water changes negates the need for Prime. Safe etc
