Oh that looks like an awesome projector! One thing you didn't mention (or maybe I missed it?) was fan noise, how noisy is it?

Good question - it was noticeable but easily ignorable - the sound of the game easily drowned it out

This looks like an awesome projector! I've been looking at the Cosmos Nebula 4k by Anker, so I'm glad you've posted this review. One concern I have though is, the Anker seems to lack HDMI 2.1, which apparently is a big deal if one is planning to pair this with a next gen console. Does this BenQ support it? I see ports that say HDMI 2.2, but that's a new one on me- I'm not sure what that means?
@RaMpArT024 жыл бұрын
This projector is native 1080p 120Hz. It has HDMI 2.0b ports and what you (miss)read is that it supports HDCP 2.2 . That's the copyright protection protocol.

I started using projectors about a year ago. Got a cheap one just to test the waters and even the cheap one was better than watching on a large TV. After 120inch screen I can't go back. Got a BenQ one for about $1500 cad shortly after and it's been amazing! I keep seeing large TVs that are 85 inch but I keep thinking I would still rather watch on my 120 inch projector. Also it's easier to replace and move a small projector. If the TV ever needs to be moved it's huge.

Hey did hear about the New OPTOMA UHD38? I would love your thoughts on this. I stupidly bought a viewsonic 747 it's straight trash and keeps over heating and shutting of I've replaced it twice already via viewsonic and all three didn't work.

Why didn't you mention how big it is compared to most projectors? I can already tell it's pretty big on the video but it looks even bigger in front of me. That thing is a beast. I was trying to figure out why and I think it's because it's the "world's first" 4LED projector but I'm not sure. Definitely worth mentioning that it will be hard to carry around to a friend's house.

That's a really helpful review. I wanted to get a beamer for playing (and watching movies) for years, but early and common office projectors are just not fit for gaming (contrast, lag, resolution) so I just stopped looking for one at some point. One question left open for me: Could you rig up a switch/ other consoles to the projector instead of a tv or do you need extra adapters for the cables? IE can this fully replace a tv for console gaming?
@GokuInstinct13 жыл бұрын
A TV doesn't connect to a projector. The projector replaces the TV so you can directly connect a Nintendo Switch via an HDMI cable.
