what kind of bothers me is that if it does die at that 20,000 hour mark ( if it makes it that long ) you throw the $2,000 projector in the trash instead of changing a bulb, with that being said you would probably go through 4 or 5 bulbs in 20,000 hours so I guess you just have to weigh it out.

Thanks for making a decent review. I could not find a side by side review before picking a projector. I just bought the tk700 and it's great. Although I kind of wish I had waited for the x3000 after seeing your review.

Thanks, they are both very good projectors, the x3000i has lower input lag for gaming and 3D support for movies, the PX1-PRO has richer colors and the UST is a big advantage for me.

The picture is sharp, bright and colorful, if you want that big screen cinematic experience these projectors are great choices, my only complain would be watching during daylight, they are not as a good as a TV.

Just got my x3000i amazing picture. Looks as good as the Sony x85 tv in the other room but bigger. Best to get a ALR screen if u have light in the room

They both look very similar in 3D, the resolution drops to 1080p but it looks good overall.

A flat matte white wall would get you a bright and clean picture.

Can you help me out decide between w1800 & w2700(HT3550) please? Which one is better for watching movies in 4k? Gaming is not my priority,so that low Latency etc is not needed for me. I just want best picture quality with 4k & HDR with WCG. Both of these are available in same budget. Going to x3000i is not possible as it is in a different budget league. So please recommend me.

In India the cost of x3000i is 2.5 times the tk700, with that much difference which of these provides more value for money.

First movie I played on my x3000i was the new batman movie without HDR. It's a very dark movie but the projector had great black level. I was also using a Gray ALR screen

Yes definitely, I guess the biggest difference is the distance placement and the V7050i is a bit brighter, I also have a video review on that projector.
