I owned its predecessor, the Xiaomi Mix Fold3, for about half a year here in Germany before I sold it again. One thing I noticed with the new one, is that they ditched the built-in kickstand on the official phone case. I found that once you actually start using the phone yourself, you realize just how useful it is for a foldable. Also, I don't like the look of the new camera island - I much prefer the old one. But in general, in terms of look, I think the Honor looks much better than the Xiaomi this time around!

Hi Ben, I really enjoy watching your video's. I find them really insightful. I bought a Xiaomi Pad S6 Pro based on your video and I'm very happy with it. Now I'm looking to buy a foldable phone and debating on getting a VIVO X FOLD 3 PRO or a HONOR MAGIC V3 or Xiaomi Mix Fold 4. I'm leaning towards a VIVO, but the problem is, it is only available in Chinese version for a decent price. (Global version rare and 3 times the price). I'm okay with buying a Chinese version, but I'm a bit concerned with the banking apps and Google Pay will not work. Any chance you can confirm whether these will be an issue or not on a Chinese ROM and which phone would you recommend to get???? (I also live in HKG but do travel a lot). I'm not too bothered with the camera. I need the phone mainly for Banking and day to day management productivity. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

You guys have honor at least. In NA we have literally nothing. You mostly get to pick between Samsung and Apple, and recently oneplus open and pixel. But even oneplus only has like 4 phones on their site here.

very good camera comparison ! i was thinking about selling my 100 Pro for the Ultra.. but not worth for me the almost 400€ here in EU.. one tip : next time when you put the comparison photos near each other, please take care of the order from left to right, don't change it up, cause sometimes it was confusing, Pro first, Ultra mid, Oppo last, then Oppo first Pro mid, Ultra last.. :P or whatever model should come, it's easier to follow

Thank you for the detailed review. I have been using Vivo's phone as my daily driver, but lately their Google Play Service is not working and the instant message notification of LINE is severely delayed, which I suspect may be due to the Great Wall of China. I have provided feedback to Vivo, but have not seen any service improvements. However, my other Xiaomi phone is working fine. As a result, I am seriously considering switching to the Xiaomi MIX Fold 4 as my new daily driver, provided that their Google Services and message notification work seamlessly with the rest of the world. Oh...and is that an under screen fingerprint sensor phone or button sensor phone?

It's a great looking phone. I'm rocking the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro and I think it's pretty light weight but being 20 mg lighter is pretty impressive. But everyone also loves the pics the Vivo produces. Chinese cells are great!

Yeah with Xiaomi I just put on a portrait effect after the fact. It works far better than using the portrait mode. Especially on my 13 ultra with sensors that give you a good amount of background separation so stitching is hardly ever a problem.

Another great video Ben as always. I'm still not convinced a foldable is right for me even putting aside the huge premium over the flagship slab phone equivalent at least here in the US where options are much more limited. The only one I'd possibly consider cause I'm a Pixel user is the upcoming 9 Pro Fold but so far leaks aren't promising as far as the camera hardware and coming from the Pixel 8 Pro, it would be a downgrade with the cameras but I'm still interested in seeing the rest of the hardware and how much better it's gotten over the first Pixel Fold. I also like that they moved away from the Pixel Fold design to something closer to the OP Open which is better for using with the inner display and side by side multitasking with the taller display. The smaller 9 Pro though is super tempting and if there are no deal breaking differences between it and the Pro XL then the smaller size will be really refreshing to go back to after the 7 Pro and 8 Pro.

The inside bezels are very thick though. Fold6 have thin bezels because it does have thinner bezels and the metal frame make it look thinner

That is because it is thinner, so likely, there are components around the edges, much like the Pixel Fold. Just a different design choice and preferable for me, as thinner is much more important than slightly larger bezels (aesthetics).

I think that this form factor is just dope. That camera quality though is just not good…usability is a bit iffy imo and it’s just a smarphone issue. The switching of lenses when zooming while in video mode is just ugh. Photos however look quite good. Other than that the device itself to me is brilliant!

Hey, I don't want to say you are wrong with saying that you didn't hear any chinese foldable phone cracking or anything but there is also this thing of global marketing where samsung was the only one selling a foldable globally for a long time. So more people got it and rhe more you have of something the more people will complain. So maybe that's a reason people didn't complain about others first versions. Now oneplus and Google or in europe too. Hope to see more foldable coming to europe.

9.4mm is without the camera bump....lol...the camera bump will not disappeared in your pocket..the hinges is not stable.... can't stand to hold position...try 120degree angle
