​@@marlena.That's not the inlybthingvthat goes into what makes a paingood or not. The artist clearly has technical skill but he made choices that ultimately make it not a good painting. It's like a film could have been beautifully written and the cinematography is amazing but the actors are absolutely horrible at delivering the lines and the sets are bad. Does that make it a good movie?

I love it because it is not like any other of the portraits! Walk in a room and who are you seeing first: The Red King! Didn’t Queen Elizabeth use colorful outfits to make herself stand out in a crowd? What’s good for the gander is good for the goose! It is completely aesthetically delightful. I love that with all that chaos swirling around HM that his face is a rock! Like when Frodo and Samwise destroyed The Ring and they were on the huge rock with lava all around. The king has that same expression on his face. The red colors intensify the feelings expressed on King Charles’s face. Magnificently portrayed.

This is a strong, masterful painting….. in my opinion it is a beautiful painting., strong and vibrating. Red, in my view, is not a colour of destruction, ( although it can be received as such, warning etc, as it is very visible and can’t be missed) but the PULSATION OF LIFE , energetic, passionate and warmth.

I was looking at videos on KZbin and my daughter seen the painting. She said to me “who is that bad scary guy, what did he do wrong”. I said he’s the King of England and he’s done a lot of bad things. Children can definitely sense evil and if your portrait scares children that’s not an accident but a choice.
