​@Master Farr I'll hazard a guess that it's the same logic of having Titans Return Megatron release before Blitzwing; calculated move to tap into the desperate market of people. A version 2 could be the Takara tooling, or just straight up stack the DNA kit on top. No argument about the guns and engineering, but I prefer the toy deco for Devastator over the show-accurate one Unite Warriors had. The contrasting silvers made the face plates pop. Also should just leave out the fake icons since everyone will just sticker proper ones on anyway.

Shame they KO'd the Hasbro version rather than the Takara UW version that made so many improvements to the moulding. I can't be doing without elbows on Scrapper

I was specifically referring to this KO so all the figures would have had decent articulation. I don’t feel I overspent on the UW version BTW, I got mine on initial release for £130 and never saw the CW version in person in stores though online retailers were selling the CW version for £10 less.

I think it's clear that these molds were always meant to be this size, and they made him a Titan as an afterthought. A lot of the design choices are are less offensive at this scale.

I like the scale of this one. It fits in perfectly with my CW collection and doesn't feel out of place. The plastic isn't the highest quality like with Hasbro/Takara, but it seems to stand up well at this point. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see stress fractures begin to form if it's changed to often. Definitely a good scale piece to display of you have a CW collection, or a good inexpensive gift for the kid who wants to play with your collection.

For me, I still prefer the KO NBK one over the KBB. I like Devastator to be a little more bigger than the other combiners being a 6 bot combiner vs a 5 bot one. All of my combiners have the PE hands and feet upgrade.

Hmmm. I might have to get this then sell my Maketoys Giant as he's my current stand in for a CW sized Devastator. I like the set but it just doesn't fit in with CW like the Unique Toys Warlord Predacons do. Although, I might just keep it and have him off to the side with their Computron. It's just so odd that for something that is released so long after the original version that they wouldn't do the Takara version or have any of the third party upgrades done with it. They could've even done some upgrades themselves. Kinda like that KO CW Megatron. Not only did the KO company change the fusion cannon but it came with parts from both of the CW Megatron upgrade kits. Shame they never released one in Armada Megatron's colors. Armada Galvatron and Megazarak would've been nice too.

Im just now trying to transform these for the first time. Out of the box it was shipped in. "Loose Leg Hook" is where i'm at right now and yup. Right Leg is way loose. So i just connected the legs and ...honestly it kinda looks like hes examining the ground in from of him, about to take off running. Lol.

I bought the ko version of the Combiner Wars Constructicons on ebay a few years ago. It is better than the original larger Hasbo version.

A much more logical size(maaaybe they undersized him a bit too much) but I really wish they had KO'd the Takara version with individual guns AND ELBOWS, not to mention ratcheted shoulders for Devastator and a retractable visor.

Naaahhh, this is a good size. He's still a head or so taller than other Combiners, yet he's still *way* better proportioned (and depending on who, his back view is much cleaner)

My forst one I broke whilst trying to combine so bought another that arrived today. The broken one is just fine as individual bots though. Possibly broke the clip on the back of Long Haul that holds the bumber bucker in place.

I have to say, I have the TR Devie, and he always felt like he'd been oversized before release. Something about the details just made me feel he would have suited this scale a lot better, and I am really tempted to pick this up to be more in scale with my CHUG collection, especially since my Bonecrusher's hips refuse to stick together. Furniture polish would fix ball joints, but I have no idea how to tighten that clip.

It’s because the logos are the only thing Hasbro/Takara actually have under copyright besides the names of the characters. Because they can’t put transforming robots under a Paton, they aren’t able to claim copyright when someone steals a character’s design.

That was my thought, they already KO'd the main release, but there were 2 Perfect Effect kits, 1 DNA kit, and the X2/Shadow Fisher kit. There was even the Dr Wu upgrade part for Hook; none of which appears to have been used, let alone even inspired deviation from the original. Heck, we couldn't even get pinned wheels..

Dammit!!! I was poised to go all in on Jinbao's "Builder.D" oversized KO of Generation Toy's "Gravity Builder"...then this comes out!! Sooo...I got this. Ordered it 06/03, and it arrived 06/17 (two weeks later...pretty fast, seeing as it didn't even ship until 06/10). This. Is. GLORIOUS!! Still sucks that they didn't go from the Takara UW Devastator...the added articulation, weapons, & switchable visor for Devy's head would've all been awesome. (On the flip side, Long Haul doesn't look so much like a bloated Fat Bastard wannabe anymore) Also, it looks like the combined mode holds the gun way better than the original. There's some crazy tolerance issues in some spots, along with inconsistency in the shrinkage on my copy (the center of the chest plate can't mount on Long Haul's truck mode, and Scrapper can't use the wings of the chest plate as swords anymore as the ports in his hands are way too big). Despite that, the individual modes are nice (Scrapper is STILL The King of Fighters), and combined is amazing. I really hope these guys do one of the upgrade kits for this guy (PE or DNA), and I hope they do an undersized KO of PotP Predaking (or better, Wei Jiang's "Sky Soarer" KO) with the DNA Design upgrade kit!! The plastic ain't great, but it doesn't feel bad. It's definitely *way* better than the crap they used for their Hotspot, that thing is a huge difference in feel from the Devy or even their Groove, it feels REALLY soft, almost dish soap bottle in feel...and it's got even scarier tolerance issues. (But, with their Hotspot & Groove, I finally have a complete Defensor...) Too bad they didn't do Menasor. So much for gettin' a cheap Dragstrip (and given how they did Superion, they likely would've had Off-road instead of Wildrider/Brake-neck)...

@@Fenris30 There is OS Volcanicus. It´s made by Black mamba. (BMP Dinobots/ Dino King/ Volcanicus on Ebay) He´s about 40cm tall I think, so taller than CW Combiners and smaller than CW Devy

Okay I need help because I've been looking into getting me a KO Devastator but I just don't know which one to get as there so damn many. I'm starting to see this one pop up a lot on eBay lately and i kinda dig it. Can anybody recommend a definitive knock-off Devastator? Or at least like the top three that are out there?? No one replied to you including the reviewer? Typical.... One of the best 3rd Party Devastator is the Wei Jiang G1 green/purple one. The Constructions are Deluxe sized and all have excellent quality plastic and diecast parts. You can buy them boxed individually or as a set of six either boxed or sold loose complete. Just Google "Wei Jiang Devastator". I own this version and highly recommend it.

13 inches is actually pretty damn big for a combiner made up of 6 deluxe sized combiners. That's even bigger then Armada Tidalwave and pretty much any of the combiner wars combiners which were around 11-12 inches in combined mode lol.

@@DragoonMS the Wei Jiang KO but smaller would be perfect. That said, I opted for this instead of the CW or UW version, for that specific reason. For one, the Constructicons are now in scale, and two, Devastator is only a bit bigger than the other combiners. Just a bit. And that's fine with me.

And for some G1 toy accuracy (I guess), Jinbao's KO of MMC Feral Rex for Predaking also looks good (and G1 Predaking was a bit bigger than the others)
