Anyone know why Ben had a different band on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show? I think it was the same day as this performance and here he is with his normal band I think?

The Jennifer Hudson show is pre-taped I believe and films in California, while The Today Show is live and films in New York City. So the performances probably aired on the same day but weren’t filmed on the same day. So he probably used a different band that was already in California or vice versa a band that was in NYC.

i just . . . . i just do not understand why ben platt is so popular as a solo artist. as evan hansen, sure, he was amazing. but as ben platt, his vibrato is beyond obnoxious. i actually thought he was choosing to sing like that as evan hansen since it makes him sound incredibly nervous. yeah, i cannot imagine choosing to sit through a concert of his.
