So very striking, this is probably my favorite project of yours and ive been a fan for a while. I was so excited for a "boring" pot cam this time as that meant the saber did in fact stay true, exciting! Great idea on the red tinge on the resin as well, really added to everything. So very cool. definitely looks cool and I know there's no real way of lightning up the light saber due to how small it is but what might be possible is to put a thin coat red highlight on it and have an option to switch from the regular led to a black light led which will make the light saber stand out with a pop as well as anything thats white. Some EL wire mixed in could make the controls look more awesome as well. Just a thought!

Looks great! I was a little nervous about how it would come out with so much red (red lower burl, red-tinted resin fill, red lightsaber) and then a blue upper burl but it looks absolutely amazing! Painting the lightsaber with resin did a great job of protecting it during curing. Just a reminder that you should always be wearing gloves when working with liquid resin, and wearing at least gloves and a dust mask when sanding resin (to prevent both skin contact with and inhalation of resin dust). Resin is nasty stuff and I know people who now have serious allergic reactions to resin because of overexposure. I've also heard from several sources that exposure to resin is cumulative - not sure how true that is or not, but I could definitely see regular exposure to resin increasing the chances of adverse health effects.

OK, showing my age now... When I was in primary school (like 4, 5 years old) back when the original movies were being released, I remember being told that Darth Vader was really the Green Cross Code man mutated. Of course, then as I got a bit older and people were all "No no, James Earl Jones" and it wasn't until MUCH later, when the internet first became a more widespread thing in the early 90s, that I learned we were right all along, and that it really WAS the Green Cross Code man inside that suit. What a piece of my childhood., now gone. Wonderful tribute... and David Prowse will live on as long as people remember him. I don't think he will be forgetten any time soon.

@@BensWorx It's definitely more well-known now, but no doubt there are still a lot of more casual fans of Star Wars that don't know that... and of course, I'm pretty sure it's only the Brits that really saw the Green Cross Code stuff as well. I probably can't link it without ending up in comment purgatory, but there's a short 10 minute or so long mini-documentary on KZbin called "The Force's Mouth" from a few years ago. It was initially meant to be a "how-to" on overdubbing and the maker was a friend of David Prowse so asked for his help, but in the end, he added the same kind of post-processing that was done to James Earl Jones' voice for the movies to show how David's voice would have sounded. There was literally nothing wrong with it. Shame there was so much hyperbole about how it was ridiculous to imagine he could have done it for the movies. Sure, letting a full-on accent wouldn't have given the same kind of effect, but it's like nobody has ever heard of dialect coaching. What bothers me personally is the number of negative stereotypes associated with not just accents from the west country, but so many other things that are so often based on perceived intelligence, disability, gender, sexuality, skin colour, ethnicity, income, education, religious affiliation, etc - and all of which are all kinds of wrong. And the jibes about "Darth Farmer" and the endless ridicule he faced was part of this. It's really not okay. Anyway, sorry for the longwinded rant, but I just find it so ridiculous.

Prowse was robbed. Disney and Lucasfilm never paid him what he was worth.

@@MELODYMUNRO boss, I respectfully disagree 1) robbed Prowse of his literal voice, and didn't tell him about it until A New Hope came out 2) after Prowse leaked dome details at a convention, sidelined him throughout Empire (somewhat understandable) 3) robbed Prowse of HIS FACE in Jedi. The face of Anakin/Vader after unmasking is Sebastian Shaw. 4) since his voice and face weren't used, Lucas used Magical Hollywood Accounting to say that the Star Wars franchise hadn't turned a profit, and refused to pay Prowse anything for using his likeness. You know, that "Physicality" that was "Essential", as Lucas said just this past week. Prowse died almost penniless, thanks to a feud with Lucas and shady Hollywood Accounting. In the end, he couldn't afford his medical bills for being a large man. His knees were shot, from wrestling and from being the very "Physicality" that we all feared and loved in Vader. Anyone who says differently is either uneducated on the subject or an outright liar and coward.
