Pleasure to work on the Bentley, so glad you're happy with it. It is a stunning car! Look forward to the next project!

Another good video Lewis. You can't beat DeVilbiss guns. In case there are any amateur painters watching, I use the Airgunsa (Iwata's budget brand) AZ3HTE gun with a 1.3mm setup for basecoat. It's ideal for the DIY'er as it gives superb results even at lower pressures and is very frugal with air, making it ideal for lower output compressors. These guns cost around £135 now. Then for clearcoat I use the DeVilbiss FLG5, which is their budget range gun, but the finish it produces is first class. For someone who is not painting every day, they will perform well for years.

I have to say, that is simply the best video I have ever seen. My favourite car, dealing with my favourite aspect of car repair. I'll lose sleep waiting for the next episode!

That paint gun looks lush. Well posh!

As you were showing that grille surround all I could think was how flawlessly uniform it is, has it actually been painted? God-level mastery! And the new paint gun, I'm not in the trade but was thinking that's a sexy looking paint gun. Then Leanne said it 😅 Love the video guys!

It came out pretty smooth didn't it. One sexy looking gun indeed!

My father was a road test driver for Rolls/Bentley in Crewe from the late1950's till he retired in the mid 1990's, he could tell many a tale about how they were built. Great video, shame about the corrosion on the Bentley.
@WhitelandRestorations3 ай бұрын
Wow bet he has some stories indeed! Corrosion has been knocked on the head now so hopefully it will a long long time before we see it again

I would love to have one of these even though I definitely can’t afford one Is it just my eyes or has that been painted before When I started painting I was only able to get a second hand devilblis gun Not being a full time painter I only have knock off guns these days and my last gun is now 3 years old and still going well So no new gun for me these days though I would love one with a light on it as my painting area has shadows Great job you guys

The beast! A fast saloon kicking ass ! I love the 90's Arnage and Mulsane ones very much. Great to see one, but I guess a nightmare to own, just for the price of safety from robbery, insurance and miles per gallon 😬, that must be a worry 😅 Greetings from Normandie

Big old lady this one. Takes up two car spaces in the workshop. Surprisingly, I think the Volvo can hold more bodies in the boot though! 😂

The Bentley is a lovely car but there are others like it. I'd take your E30 & 240 all day long over the Bentley, there are no others like them. As usual Lewis, the Jedi body work master, make it all look so easy.

The difference in quality between the Bentley’s grille assembly and the one on my end-of-line facelift Rover 75 (which I pretend is a “Baby Bentley”) is staggering… proper metal vs flimsy plastic and stick-on badge !

When *extremely expensive* cars were engineered and built properly. This car would have cost in the region of £176,000 new, which is about £388,000 in today's money.

Bought by VW group in 1998, so quality may have dropped a little, but still head and shoulders above most cars. I probably couldn't even afford just the drivers seat!

@@andrewhaines3259 I used to work for someone who owned a Bentley Bentayga. He bought the optional side steps which cost more than the combined purchase prices of my last 10 cars.

Apparently it gets 16mpg while cruising at 70... Not far off the Volvo's 21mpg!
