I know that my videos have been 3D printing heavy recently and that has been because Elegoo has been so generous and sent me 2 of their printers. They have also been one of the most responsive and caring companies I have worked with so I wanted to be sure and get the reviews for both of their printers out ASAP. However, I wanted my handmade-loving friends to know that I still strive to keep a balance between handmade and machine made here on my channel. All next month I will be working on the Beetlejuice house and characters by hand! Machines will always be something I enjoy working with as they really help me get more done in less time, however my love of making something from scratch will never go away😊 If you are wanting to get into 3D printing without being able to get a machine for yourself, be sure to check your local library or maker spaces! Many of them have printers you can try out!

Thanks for the explanation. I, for one, am so glad to hear this, because I was really looking forward to see you make weird alien plants by hand when I saw the video title. I get the possibilities and convenience of it, and that it can save a lot of time, but I can't help feeling a bit disappointed whenever I see creators 3D print stuff when I clicked on the video to see how things are handmade. I'm afraid 3D printing will just never be my jam unfortunately. Either way I still very much enjoyed this video (like all your content), I really like how you combine the printed items with your amazing style of creating, it turned out super awesome! I'm also looking forward to Beetlegust (whether it's in actual August or much later, it'll be worth the wait! Quality over quantity / good mental health over stress and pressure.) I think the "robots" you printed are actually Pokemon XD It's a Pokemon called Deoxys. The fun thing is, in Pokemon lore, this is an Alien - so it fits perfectly into a spaceship :D I love the plant room, and the bigger tubes don't even bother me. I think they might look more natural with some water-residue in them (like small drops or a bit dripping out). I'm also all for YT shorts for smaller additions :D

I had the same thought as you as soon as I put in the tubes.. 'was it better before?'. I think I will try the smaller tubing to see if I can still get the effect I have in my head but if not I can always remove it and just "mold" over the area where the glue was😄 I am always happy to hear opinions and thoughts on my projects. Now I could kick myself for not saving the tubing from my home IV meds. They are about half the size of the aquarium tubing you used on the watering system. I'll be sure to save a bunch next time. I love how detailed your tutorials are. It makes me stretch my view of items around my house for my miniatures.

I am not sure where I got the stuff that I already had but I plan to keep my eyes open for smaller tubing. Someone said there are smaller tubes at the pet store so I might check there... I didn't even think of a medical supply place. I am so glad you liked the video! Thank you Jeanie!

Phew I’m so glad I kept all of Mom’s for some reason,I kept it all boxed up was just not sure what I would use it for along with all my fish tank parts. I want to build a borrowers under the floor home using a banana box as a base. I am going to use as many found objects as possible. Never feel pressured to get things out weekly I am sure everyone will be happy as I am when it does come out, so many of the KZbinrs I watch have switched to making only 2-3 videos a month and I know I enjoy it when all my Favourite KZbinrs pop up on my Subscribers listing. I will have to look into the 3D printer and laser cutter Dad and I have been talking about getting my website back up and productive again with things I make and design. He’s going to do the web designing while I do the rest 😹😹 and yep he’s talked me into looking into doing KZbin as well for the creative outlet but right now I have a head cold and bronchial flu yet again it’s been so cold here at the moment even the heating has been struggling this year not been this cold in 10 years 🙀🙀 I love both your hand made stuff as well as the 3D printed things, because at the end of the day you still need to make the designs in the software to create what it is you are envisioning it’s just that 3D gives us that extra ability do get smaller and extra detailed which we can not do on the smaller scales.

But that's because I'm a foodie and I like to spend a good time watching you create, make, undo, get excited, doubt and finally succeed. I love love love watching you work on this project. I think for tubing a good size is the tubing from butterfly needles for drawing blood. I think my mom has some we can send you. If you haven’t figured out what to use for the hydration tube system. I’d use the largest fishing line I could find. It would be to scale and very subtle. You can even get it tinted😉

This sort of reminds me of vertical farming systems, which would be a great thing on a spacecraft, for fresh produce. For people without 3D printers, those plastic packaging from those surprise mini balls might work for planters, although the scale is much larger than what you showed. Like Mini Brands or something. Each wedge of the ball could be glued to the wall and be a planter. Seems like it might need a grow light, some of them look bright, some look sort of purple maybe for ultraviolet light?

What about baby oil that should work people use baby oil in lava lamps and snow globes so how bout mixing glue with baby oil then add cotton to it first paint the cotton with oil based paint or any kind of paint then go from there.

A fun little addition i would love (don't have to actually add it its just a fun idea i had) is the Rufflesia flower, its about 3 meters big and its massive and red and looks like some sort of alien plant. Its also called the corpse lily cause it stinks like death, i remember reading about it on a project for school lol. I can imagine it in like an encased dome so anyone who comes into the greenhouse wont have to be hit in the face with the smell + temp regulation i guess.
