do not bother to cut the sound when pausing. If you want to edit the audio, it is better to capture the noise print from when you pause then using that to clean the entire video. If you have the time use the noise print of a pause to clean the audio of the portion of voice before and/or after the pause. In the way you are doing right now the noise while you are talking is more obvious than in the case of just not deleting it at all, leaving the audio as it came from the camera/lavaliere or whatever you are using

I am having issues getting it to connect is it blue blinking or red blink for pairing mode? Also I don't see electric sock at a option.

Where? If you use SmartThings Hub, like I do, then you can create a virtual device for it. And name it there. Then link the WiFi device in IFTTT to the virtual device... and bingo, bongo. OR, if you don't use SmartThings... Just rename it in the Alexa app.
