Who starred in the 1980s movies “Die Hard” and "Lethal Weapon?” Bruce Willis and Mel Gibson, you say? Wrong - it was the Beretta 92 that both actors used to save the day!

The single-action/ double-action trigger with the decocker, made the Beretta 92 extremely popular as a service pistol for law enforcement & militaries. And it's still in service in many countries to this day. I think that speaks for itself on how good of a pistol, the 92 is.

I purchased my Beretta 92FS back in the early 1990s and it is still one of my favorite guns to take to the range. Its size fit my hand perfectly. Of course, after using the 1911 in my previous military service, I thought the military was insane for replacing the 1911 with the 92. It only took me five minutes at the range to change my mind and purchase a 92FS from a buddy.

Bought 92fs in 1989. Too big for my small hands. I could not shoot well with it. After 250 rounds, so disappointed, put it away since. Recently, got a few grips for it. And the lok thin grip perfectly fit for small hands. Changed hammer spring to #14. Wow, a totally different gun. Shoot like a dream. Love the 92 FS dearly now. ❤❤❤❤❤

Thank you for this. I shall henceforth use this line when confronting Beretta haters. The only legitimate complaint I heard was from my brother's fiance, who is very small, and couldn't reach the safety-switch with her thumb. I said just get a cheetah or wait for the newest 92s that have a frame-mounted safety (XI or smth they are called, I think).

I have two Beretta 92fs pistols: I have one in all black and one in Inox. Both guns are Italian made and have never been holstered. I saw Lethal Weapon in 1987 and just HAD to have one!! But my money was funny in '87 so I wasn't able to buy one until 1988. And it was a 92fs instead of the 92f that Riggs carried 🙂 And then in 1992, I purchased the Inox. Both guns have ran flawlessly over the years with no malfunctions to speak of. The only things I have done to both of them is change the guide rods in them.

Nice video, I really enjoyed it. I love the approach you Americans have with guns. You can buy whatever you want and have fun shooting it. I am Italian and there are a lot of restrictions both for buying and carrying, how I envy your freedom to carry guns. When someone points out to me that it is precisely because of this freedom that there are thousands of deaths every year in the USA from gunshots, I reply that it is true, but that it has helped save the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

As a former law enforcement operator, I can say that the 92 was my faithful companion for 35 years, right up to my retirement. I have fired thousands of rounds with Fiocchi and I.M.I. ammunition, and only a couple of times did it jam due to training cartridges with a reduced charge, but in general it digested that too. As aesthetics the Colt 1911 and Beretta 92 series are the most beautiful guns ever made. the Glock doesn't appeal to me because of its stock angle and safeties, I'm not comfortable with the bullet in the barrel with no visual check on it. But that's just my problem, I think it's because of the 30 years of brainwashing I've been given about safety regulations. And aesthetically it is plastic and ugly
@CoelhoSports6 ай бұрын
If you were in the national guard, you wouldn't have seen the M9 until the early 90's. I was looking for a decent used FS for a while, but after hurricane Ian, a guy south of Sarasota needed 250 more than his Italian govt surplus 92S (with heel mag release), so i drove from TB area to get it. Love that pistol. Sites are almost non-existent but it has good weight to it, shoots smoothly, was in surprisingly good condition for its age, and couldn't beat the price.
