Thank heavens for someone who doesn’t review a Langdon. Good review.

I have the cc2 with the gray slide and bobbed hammer. I ordered the LLT trigger bar and installed it. It IS different. I also installed a 12lb hammer spring and the trigger is just a little bit lighter on double action due to the hammer spring and the reset is shorter due to the trigger bar.

I'm really not trying to be confusing, but I'm on Beretta's website, and it literally says that the "Compact Carry 2 has received enhancements in close collaboration with Langdon Tactical Technology (LTT)". Langdon has also said it in more than one interview that it comes stock with some of their upgrades.
@larrysfarris6 ай бұрын
Paying royalties or for the bit of work done by LTT is why it’s gone from a $500 gun to a $900 gun! Bought my first PX4 9mm Carry from Cabela’s for an MSRP of $550 in March 2015. Beretta had sponsored a $50 rebate at the time; so my out-the-door price was $500. Then Beretta took up with Langdon and the price increased astronomically. Some of the changes made, I personally don’t see as “improvements”. Maybe, if you’re trying to make it a “race gun” for competition but if you’re after just a basic solid personal self-defense gun, many are expensive and unnecessary. IMHO, YMMV 👈

Nice review. I always wanted to get my hands on one. I think I will start looking for one. Since it now has some better enhancements. I was just wondering it the beretta px4 compact carry 2 is optics ready.

Im just across the river in NJ so with the purchase permit situation I have to plan out my purchases a bit. I'm definitely on board for a PX4 just need to figure out which version to get - I'd get the Carry 2 like this one you have - but since I am going to send it to LTT for an optics cut - I am wondering if its better to get the original version and put the saved $150 towards the Langdon work. - other than the heavier .40 barrel bored to 9mm what else do you get with the carry2? The beretta website is not too helpful - appreciate your video!! helpful for sure

I think I’ve settled on getting the Carry 2. And thinking much like you it’s a bit of a toss up. For the 3rd mag, carry levers, etc. I might as well get this version. I didn’t realize it had a bull barrel. I thought only the special duty had that.
@grumpyoldman45725 ай бұрын
With the Carry II you get low profile decocker levers, you get a 3rd magazine a $30.00 cost if not more, A different hammer forget what it`s called. The barrel is not the .40 bored to the 9mm I was wrong that is on the new full size carry model. The Beretta web site is really confusing. Good luck with your purchase. Let me know how easy it was sending it to LTT Thanks.

What you have is a Langdon. The stock V2 has some upgrades by Langdon, just not all. You can tell by the hammer type. If you have the low profile carry hammer, it has some of the LT features, if I understand correctly. You can get them directly from LT if you want more extensive work done.

Thank you I was thinking about the compensator but haven't decided yet. I have seen one review on it and it was very positive .
@newtypeJP8 ай бұрын
It’s not a “Langdon” it’s the “cc2” model, it is the new stock model for compact carry. It’s really confusing information out there. But yeah it has some upgrades but not “Langdon” branded ones. Just the factory beretta upgrades; hammer change, stealth decocker, hammer spring. For it to be a Langdon cc2 I guess it would have that extra fancy trigger job. I have a cc2 with a vp comp with out light.
@grumpyoldman45728 ай бұрын
@@newtypeJP I`m under the impression it has the drop in trigger package you can buy from the Langdon web sit . Maybe I will send am e-mail to Langdon and post there reply and hopefully end any confusion.

This is not a Langdon. This comes from the Beretta warehouse. Beretta assembly has added the Langdon trigger bar and upgraded the gun. But this is NOT a Langdon. It's a much upgraded gun over the stock PX4 from Beretta. The Langdon gun is at least $1600. LTT gun has optic cut, compensator, magwell and the Langdon trigger job.
@grumpyoldman45727 ай бұрын
You are right but it does not have the LTT trigger bar I talked to LTT it would cost $175.00 for the trigger bar and polishing of the trigger assembly. That`s what I am thinking of doing still on the fence for the front night sight@@rotadyma

I have the full size in one of these. The magazines when new, can be pretty tight. You really should fully load your magazine and empty it 4-5 times to loosen it up a bit. In my 17 round mag, I had to use the speed loader after 14 rounds to push in the last game. After that, the magazines are great.

I’m curious what your best guesstimate is for the DA/SA trigger pull? If I remember correctly the original CC was around 10lbs DA pull.

I got out the trigger gauge and DA is 9 to 9 1/2 and SA is 3 1/2 to 4lbs and butter smooth.

Ya gotta get past that 7-10’ thing. Would never hurt to train harder than you think you might need to. At 7 feet you couldn’t even aim w sights. If your arms were extended, the threat with his arms could prob about reach you, surely with one easy step. Training harder makes everything less seem easy and you never know the scenarios you’ll encounter. Silly to worry about someone else’s experiences. Silly to shoot 10’.

With the world the way it is currently, a person should practice enough to consistently make hits on a 9-inch paper plate at 25 yards. Because you never know, when you might encounter an active shooter and have to end the threat at a distance to save lives including your own!
