Extremely happy with the Bergeon tool line up, these new screwdrivers included. Investing in better tools have made working on watches fun. It’s safer and easier all around. Search around for best place to get them, at go for it.

I agree Rob - if you are going to use a tool once -buy cheap. If you are going to use a tool more than once it is always better to get a quality tool. Thank you for another excellent video Rob :)

Yep. Big difference between these and the cheaper ones. Bought the same set a few months back and the tips are all pretty much perfect still.

Those are very nice. They look better then the Horotecs I have. It does make sense to buy very good tools, the Sea Storm is over $300, you don’t want to damage your watch. You know I never thought to use the block to hold the bracelet with screw llinks. That is a good idea. You already know this, you need to sets of screwdrivers beacause many watches have double sided screws.

As I mentioned in one of your other vids, I used the Boschett screwdriver that has multiple bits and it is a longer screwdriver making the torque much easier when you are turning it. I got it with one of my cave dwellers and I use it for all my watches. They sell it on their website for $25

I just bought the kit too. Can you please tell me> for the smallest two screw drivers (yellow and white), do the screw tips have a flex on them just by touch? Mine do, and I trying to determine whether that is natural for such thin, small screw heads, or whether I have been ripped off.

Where should i buy my first screwdriver set?? Can you put together a beginning to list for an aspiring horologist
@thenexthobby5 жыл бұрын
Yeah you need the whole kit, because once you're known as "the watch guy" you'll be given any and every kind of thing imaginable to work on.

@RandomRobReviews5 ай бұрын
The two smaller sized you won’t use unless working on movements. The 1.2 and up are gonna be the go to sizes

So you bought them from e-bay for $56.50 to save $3.50 instead of buying from Esslinger.com or any reputable/certified dealer like Ofrei.com, jewelerssupplies.com, etc. I'll just let that speak for itself. FYI Bergeon, Horotec, and A*F are the top tier companies to watch tools. Each screwdriver is labeled with its size and the corresponding color denotes that size, so instead of looking at each screwdriver till you find what you need you only have to remember what size each color represents. Finally, Beryllium blades are non-magnetic and nonmarring which will not scratch stainless steel so you may want to get some replacement blades in beryllium (they'll fit those screwdrivers).

I agree about spending more for quality tools. Cheap tools with soft steel tips will bend and mar the surface of the watch parts and screws. I have heard other KZbin channels say all tools are the same and to just get the cheaper tools. I since have unsubscribed to them.
@RandomRobReviews5 жыл бұрын
Still can be fun to watch many channels. Even if we may not see the world the same way. For sure Bergeon makes great tools, and I am sure there even better. For active watch but like me, Bergeon is perfect.
