Thanks for the video! One question. This year my pilot light stayed on. Never did that before in the 6 years I've had it. How do I turn that off and just let the direct ignition do its thing?

thanks for the well-explained video! Although how do I calibrate my current room temperature? It has been displaying negative degrees (celsius) for some time. and it's definitely not -5c degrees in my house. cheers

Thank you for the informative video. I have had my REGENCY l540E unit for three years. It has worked well here (Long Island) most of the time. This year, I turned it on but some issues appeared. Neither the fan icon, nor the fan's functionality show up on my remote. The fan doesn't turn on at all. With the help of your well done video, I replaced the "AA" batteries of the receiver, and did the same in the back of remote ("AAA"). I then Reset the unit exactly as you described towards the end of your video. No change to the fan issue indicated above at all. The Fan icon doesn't show up on the remote, and the fan doesn't turn on even after prolonged operation of the flames.... :-( The fan did work well during the last 2 winters! I am an (old...) Electronics Engineer and am very handy too, however I couldn't find any instructions on troubleshooting the fan for this issue on hand. Without such technical guidance, I hesitate to take the unit apart. Would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

Usually when the Fan/Blower icon is not present on a remote, it would indicate that the remote itself might be an older model with limited modes but in this case, it might be that 1. The feature for the blower might have been accidentally disabled but it's a little bit of process so it's unlikely that that could be the issue or 2. It might just be defecting and you could get it replaced. If possible, you could go to your nearest Regency Fireplace dealer and ask them to try syncing your remote to one of their showroom models and test it out. Thank you for your feedback!

@@berkeleyheat1580 Thank you again for your advises. But..... (1) as indicated, this same remote worked for 3 years and did show the fan icon in the past....!? (2) when I operate the unit in a manual mode (no remote in the loop), the fan should turn on after several minutes, I believe...!? (am I right?) - it doesn't.

Our regency fireplace remote and receiver arnt working correctly. Replaced batteries in both units, however it’s acting glitchy. I’m not sure if a wire is loose but I have to tap on the receiver with a screw driver for it to kick on.

Hi I have a Hearthstone Stowe DX 8322 propane fireplace 2014. There is a module underside call the receiver Proflame1 . There is 4 new AA battery inside. When there is electricity in the house the pilot will stay lit. In an outage the pilot shut itself instantly. When there is electricity in the house everything is fine. I do not understand why the pilot shut itself. Can someone help me please I am in great trouble when the electricity goes out with is frequent here. Thank you so much. John

Good Day, we just bought a house with this fire place installed, the receiver doesn't not beep when in program mode. The batteries have been replace in both receiver and transmitter and Fireplace works when the receiver is on the (+) position but there I cant control it visa remote. Please help

If the receiver does not beep when the batteries are replaced, you may need to try a different set of batteries, check that the door cover is secured onto the receiver box, and make sure the receiver box is properly connected in the back. To use the fireplace with the remote, you'll need to make sure it's set on the "Remote" setting of the receiver box and not "On" or 'Off". If this doesn't help, I'd recommend reaching out to your closest fireplace dealer for technical assistance.

@@iaminbetweendays I see Shawn didn't reply but in the case of the receiver still not responding, it may very well be faulty/corroded/damaged. You can always reach out to your closest Regency Dealer and ask for a replacement.
