To be honest i never really pay much attention to 'new bait' videos. I only fish here in Florida and what worked 2 years ago still worked last week ... that being said the Krej does have me interested because now it's truly unique action & FFS

I have always set my jerkbaits up to slide backwards in the water column on the pause. Goes from a reaction strike to an aggression strike. Catch rate is insane

Great video man! Havent picked up the krej yet but looks interesting and wilp prob play a good role in situation! I have a few finishers but i fish it sorta like a jerkbait. Slack line and rod tip pops. So it kinda dances all over the place. Keep up the videos!!👊

Solid breakdowns! I was thinking the same thing with the heavier mono for the krej. Fall rate looks to be a little too fast for my style. Also wonder if shaving the sides of the lip would reduce that “head up” position

Krej kinda reminds me of the flying lure, in that it travels backwards. I never bought into the flying lure but have seen it kinda work. Great vid although I personally am not with livescope at all. Keep up the great content.

Agree with blue walleye, the finisher has way more action than what your showing and or incorporating in the bait, that lure can bounce around like crazy. I stick with the 7 and smallies can’t stand it, walleyes too

Check out Matt Stephan’s video, it showed the finisher with way more side to side action than a glide bait. Then he took it on the water with no graphs randomly casting and was nailing quite a few bass. You need to fish it like a jerk bait. Not like a Rapala minnow .

Have the Finisher in 5/9. First, they sink like a rock so if you're shallow you may need to start your retrieve before it hits the water. Was on a small pond and didn't get a bite all day. Tied a 9 on my baitcaster an twitched it hard similar to a jerkbait. Landed three (for the size pond) in just a few casts. Going back with a 5 to see if it works as well. The water was pretty clear and could definitely see it moving erratically with the rod twitches.

The Krej might be interesting for bank anglers, with the ability to fall to deeper water then come up when it goes towards the bank.

Hmm. Wonder if a suspend dot on the bill of a krej would make it fall more level, but decrease the angle of the fall, and with more slack line, would fall away from you for a longer distance. 🤔 As long as it keeps the duo type body roll still. Also wonder if a dot on the back portion of the finisher would give it a swimming motion on that straight retrieve. Got 4 glides completed and clear coated for Florida to test. Hope to share some pics. 🤙

The krej looks like a jackall riser-bait but with a plastic bill instead of a metal bill......I havent tried one but i bet you could use it as a riserbait if you were so inclined or if they were on surface and sub-surface baitfish you could reel it and let it break the surface.

The Krej is just like a jackall riser 007. They both will fall backwards and rise up. Hence the name Riser.

the Krej bill shape will allow you to make it flee and jump out of the water , might be good for shallow water fishing that way.

@@mikeybalzz yeah the other for me being in new england is the way it falls backwards like a spoon. I have a lot of large rock structure than drop off 15 to 20 feet right by the shore. Potentially a good technique from the bank cast over and rise it and let it fall. I think I should buy some lol, tight lines man.

I have been murdering them on the finisher and you don’t fish it the way you’ve explained at all! You pop it all the way back to you with a slight slacked line and it dances back to you from left to right in the water column and I’ve had major success with it. The way you’ve explained I’ve never fished for I don’t believe it’s meant to be retrieved by just reeling the bait back to you.
