BERLIN-MARATHON 2022 - Inlineskating Block C -

Wie gewohnt das Full-Race-Video vom Inlineskating Berlin Marathon 2022 aus dem Block C.
Kurzer Verlauf: Nachdem ich 12km im ersten Zug mithalten konnte, musste ich ca. 5km allein fahren, bis mich der zweite Zug erreicht hatte mit dem ich dann ins Ziel fuhr. Es war ein sehr schönes Rennen und wir haben wieder super Bekanntschaften gemacht vor, während und nach dem Wettkampf. Am Sonntag stand dann noch der Lauf an, den ich in einer Zeit von 3:32h ins Ziel gebracht habe. Insgesamt war es ein sehr erfolgreiches Wochenende.

That's nice showing a meter and a graph with easier appreciation (first time to comment on a long race). Almost all were 3-wheeled, and crowded for 1 minute after sprinting the finish line. To be this quick was a bit surprising, but maintaining it constantly was just awesome! By the way, the road condition must be, and had to be, quite satisfactory. Skating was so popular in Germany, plus a famous manufacturer PS, perhaps streets in the inner-city had been specially made beautifully by this SPORT !?!

Thank you for your assessment. And yes, Powerslide is the dominant club with the best skaters. The streets in Berlin are equipped with very fine asphalt. But you still have to watch out for the tram tracks, which often cross the route. Greetings Dirk

Ja super herzlichen Glückwunsch. Ich bin jetzt 2 Jahre in Folge die Strecke als Doppelstarter gelaufen. Aber dieses Jahr nur Skaten. Ich möchte mal einen Marathon laufen mit frischen Beinen. Deshalb ist dieses Jahr der Hamburg-Marathon im April geplant. Aber das Skaten durch Berlin lass ich mir nicht entgehen. Das ist immer wieder ein tolles Erlebnis. Ja das wissen die viele Leute nicht, dass man mit Speedskates und Vollgummirollen solche Geschwindigkeiten fahren kann. Im Profibreich liegt der 42km Marathon-Rekord auf dieser Strecke in Berlin bei 56.45 min. D.H. Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeit auf Rollen bei ca. 44 km/h. V-Max bei ca. 70km/h. Aber leider ist die Sportart weniger populär als das Radfahren aber eben auch sehr gefährlich ohne Bremsen bei den Geschwindigkeiten. Grüße Dirk

4. Platz bei den Doppelstartern - Gratulation! Der erste C Zug ist dann ne 1:14:50 gefahren und die Geschwindigkeit ja auch richtig hoch! Super vielen Dank fürs filmen und hochladen, da sehe ich meine Technik-Probleme aber der Hälfte nochmal deutlich. Mein Rechter Aufsatz und Abdruck ist zu instabil und nach hinten dadurch ist dann die rechte Schulter oft etwas zu hoch. Und Gewichtsverlagerung halt auch nicht gut. Ich war das erste Mal in so einem riesen Zieharmonika-Zug. Schon beeindruckend das wir alle ziemlich dasselbe Level fahren und sich niemand absetzen wollte oder konnte. Vorne mit zu arbeiten ist wahrscheinlich insgesamt entspannter. Allerdings war für mich auch klar das vorne auch niemand weg fahren wird und das Tempo leicht über meinem Zieltempo war und man vorne natürlich auch etwas schneller müde wird. Ab Km 36 hätte ich etwas wacher und nicht ganz so defensiv fahren sollen und mich nicht aus dem ersten Drittel durchreichen zu lassen und öfter umschauen hilft vermutlich auch in der Phase. Dachte mir es kommen noch 4 Kurven, das ist kein Problem - spar ich noch etwas Kraft für einen Zielsprint. Aber die Strecke war dann so voll das es echt wenig Platz mehr gab um halbwegs sicher vorbei zu fahren.

Super ich danke dir auch für deine präzise Ausführung. Es ist genauso wie du es erklärst. Kann ich voll nachempfinden. An der Cam lernt man am besten seine Fehler zu analysieren. Ich habe selbst unzählige Videos geschaut vom Double-Push-Training und mich selbst dann mit der Insta360 Cam gefilmt, damit ich meine Fehler auswerten kann. Die Cam-Technik macht es heute möglich. yes, it's not exactly safe for me speed skating. Especially in a large group at these speeds. One in front of me falls and I fall over it. The usual protective equipment for speed skating is limited to helmets and gloves. Greetings Dirk

Yes, the situation in the large group is very tense. Constantly watch out, don't let yourself be torn off and constantly change speed and touch the skates. But it's great fun.

Hello Pascal, I have the Insta 360 one R with a booster battery. With the standard battery you can only film for about 60 minutes at 4k 30fps. With a booster battery you can film for about 90 - 120 minutes at 4k 30fps. Inserted and explored the telemetry with the Starva gpx file in the "Dashware" program and created the complete video. It's the same weekend, inline on Saturday, runners on Sunday. 2023 is Sep 23-24, both put on by BMW. Slightly different course than runners, deviates around 32k, but joins back in around 38k. In essence it's all 1 big event, but it doesn't usually get shown on TV in a way that portrays the scope of the whole thing.

Interesting. Have ridden the Berlin velothon on several ocations, one of my favorites. I notice that you don't rotate windbreaker very much (currently 20 minutes into the video) - in cycling atleast, at 30km/h on a flat road, apx. 80% of resistance comes from wind. Given sufficient strength of everyone in the group, I'd assume your finish time would improve by rotating. Also no brakes - you people got large onions. :-) Edit: OK, group shattered shortly after - I guess the group was not evenly matched. 🙂

These are good amateurs. 3rd level group to race. Mostly veterans and youngsters. Pros and Elites run at 40 km/h average speed in Berlin.

You can tell. I stop competing rollerskating and being informed about every big event just before 125mm wheels rule. At that time, Berlin Marathon always were the fastest one with average speed record braking. It was over 42km/h last time I paid attention.

Die Geschwindigkeit ist echt brutal, sieht so einfach aus :D Ist es bestimmt nicht. WIe viel muss man so trainieren und wie teuer sind diese Skates mit diesen perfekten Rollen?

Ja ,wenn man 2-3 Mal die Woche trainiert ist das ok. Die Skates mit Carbon-Schuh , Rollen und Schiene kosten zwischen 300 und 800 €. Man darf aber nicht gleich mit den ganz flachen Schuhen anfangen. Dann sind die Schmerzen hoch und die Freude gleich weg. Am besten erstmal mit Powerslide R4 oder R2. So haben wir auch angefangen. Schaue einfach unsere ersten Videos an vor 4 Jahren. Wenn du mit diesem Hobby beginnen möchtest, stell dich bitte am Anfang auf einige Scheuerstellen und Schmerzen ein. Es braucht einige Zeit, bis sich dein Fuß an die Carbon-Schuhe gewöhnt. Yes, that was the case for me at the beginning too. But you learn to deal with it. But you need many hours of training on the skates. I ride my inline skates about 2500 km a year.

It hurts bro... A LOT.... But you use to that pain... Eventually your lower back gets stroger (with a lot training) and you can be able to spend a lot of time in that position.
