This is, by far, one of the funniest videos. The young nervous coast guard newbie and his boss slapping his back on the way out. Too funny! The best part of this for me personally is the video came to my attention via the German woman who has been my ESL student. When she had me watch it the first time I roared.

YooToobBaller DUHH cant be racist against white people. (obviously I am kidding)
@SadSevensHut11 жыл бұрын
Sam Friend I don't understand why some people say everything is racism. I have nothing against Japaneses, neither wheelwatcher I think, it's just a funny joke about a stereotype...
@Renegade91711 жыл бұрын
Sam Friend Japan is a country, not a race. It's racist to think something making fun of the Japanese is racist, because you're essentially lumping the Asian race in with all Japanese people. There are black Japanese people, there are white Japanese people. Yes, a majority of Japan are Asian, but not every Japanese person is. So, I reiterate: "Japanese" isn't a race. It's a heritage. Making fun of the Japanese accent isn't racist because it isn't making fun of the Asian race, just one country's accent. That is all.

I'm English and I found this bloody funny. Had completely forgotten that Germans (sometimes) have a problem with "th" ... It's easy. Stick your tongue out just a little, close your teeth, and blow! There you go. No more drowned sailors. As for "squirrel" ..... well that's quite different! Still love Carling Black Label + RAF Dambusters ad. doesn't sound politically correct but it is very funny.
@montanus7776 жыл бұрын
the problem is, that for us germans the 'th'-sound is considered as having a lisp. so, when young german children make these sounds (while learning their native language), they're told to avoid that at all costs - after all you don't need that sound when speaking german. and when we later learn english a lot of us are still 'programmed' to never ever make these sounds. :)

This music is one of the most famous pieces of music in the classical repertoire: Ludwig van Beethoven's final symphony: The Symphony No. 9 in D minor, Op. 125. Specifically from the famed fourth movement thereof at the passage marked "Alla marcia." The text of the choral passages is adapted from Friedrich Schiller's poem, "Ode to Joy" ("An die Freude").
