Bermuda lawn care In October requires a pre-emergent and final Fall Feeding. I recommended applying your final fall fertilizer application a week prior to Halloween weekend. This will allow your lawn sufficient time to green up for Halloween as well given the lawn sufficient nutrients before going into dormancy.
Bermuda grass in October should still be thriving if you are located here in the South. As temperatures start to decline in the transition zone and up north and your growing Bermuda in October it will begin to go into dormancy. Here in West Texas, Bermuda lawns will not begin their dormancy period till the 3rd or 4th week of November.
Adding a final fall fertilizer application will help keep that Bermuda Lawn as green as possible for as long as possible through October and far into November. Of course all depending on the weather and soil temperatures.
