One of the best Celtic orientated discussions I’ve seen, wonderful memories described by Bernard and Tommy, great to hear how Asim’s dad felt welcomed by Celtic fans and the legacy of that being more diehard Celtic fans✊🏻

Fantastic show. One of Scotlands best political journalist by far. I really enjoyed listening to Bernard on his love for Celtic, couple this with the no nonsense Tommy Sheridan (superb) and finally the great and always logical Asim Rabbani 👏👏

An interesting listen. I listened to Graham spiers interview Bernard on his platform a few weeks back. A thoroughly knowledgeable chap. I often feel had we beat feyenoord in 1970 to win the EC for a second time that would have put us in the pantheon of the true greats. I think I remember reading by about 1976 or 77 the belief had set in that we were never gonna win it again. Up till then it was a distinct possibility.

I worked in the refurbishment of Celtic Park during the Fergus era and when it was nearly completed, shamefully, I stole a few of the caricatures from the wall (sorry Fergus). Anyway, going to my car I had the Danny McGrain caricature in its frame, but I had the rawlplugs sticking out of the back of the 'hot' frame. So, I saw Danny in the car park and asked him to sign his caricature and desperately trying to hide the rawlplugs, he asked where I got the frame from, and I said I bought them (I am sure he never believed me!). Thanks, Danny - always my No1 Celtic player.

At a game against Hamilton at Paradise 8-3 was the score if my memory serves me correct. Deep into the game the ball went out for a shy at the jungle end & Danny came over to take it when a shout came from the jungle c’mon Danny from a young man & I can’t remember if it was before he took the shy or immediately after he turned round to the youth & said with humility I’m fucked & the jungle roared. I can still see it in my mind’s eye today a very fond memory for me . Thanks for sharing.
