You don't have to be in agreement with anything or everything that George says, but there's absolutely no denying the depth of his beliefs and/or his undying commitment to them. Add to that, that he's a brilliant raconteur and I just loved this podcast.

🥰Firstly WOW! I wasn't sure if some of my favourite episodes so far could be topped, my confusion was unjustified! All four take a bow, I have only seen Stevie twice now and I tip my hat. The insights into us a club and more importantly as supporters and all the baggage that we very ably carry, but also into politics that speak to us as Celtic supporters on a local and international basis, its about solidarity through experience and knowledge. My Irish roots probably happened about 1000 yrs ago, and I was brought up in protestant churches and the Salvation Army, I am now for sure a non believer, but being a Celtic fan and a Scot it has instilled values in me, especially when it comes to human suffering that will never ever change and I am very proud of my standards as a human being. To counter all points made would take me all night. During this entire masterclass from George which was like listening to Ian McKellen talk about the weather, I had one burning question in my mind. How did Tommy feel sitting next to not only a great politician but also someone who knows how to dress himself 😂! Joking aside, George is for sure the best dressed man ever to have graced the ACSOM. Also thanks George, I learned a knew word today, "misunderestimated". Only on Acsom. Throw these bhoys some money for absolute quality TV, free on the youtubes u choobs!

Totally agree Neil Lennon was hated for basically being a Roman Catholic, I worked at Celtic Park at the time when the letter bombs came through the post. In fact it was myself who contacted the clubs security about suspicious packages, they then contacted the police. After the first bomb we had to install an x ray machine for all of the post, true story, Neil Lennon was and is a terrific man

@@onceatim67 That has been taken out of context. The point being made was that many of the games in Scotland are not as attractive as spectacles when compared to the box-office of the EPL. I'm not a fan of English football. I was for years, but lost all interest in it as it rapidly lost its soul. Personally, I'd watch Celtic at any level against any opposition before I'd watch EPL or even Champions League games (not involving Celtic, of course). PJD

Celtic podcast media generally is upping its game. This was a phenomenal interview and respect to ACSOM. Over at the Celtic Exchange, Tino’s interviews with the people who saved Celtic set a new high. And don’t forget the Huddle Breakdown which provides such interesting insights enabling us ordinary fans to see the games through a new lens. Collectively the guys and gals are totally rocking it, well done. Shameless plug…. although a lifelong season ticket holder, I’m also a member of the 100+ strong Shanghai Celtic Supporters Club ( my wife is Chinese and lives in Changsha). When I’m out there the folk of the SCSC support one another and exchange info and in match commentary. Please give them a little shout out sometime as part of our amazing diaspora ☘️👍☘️⚽️☘️😎 Tom.

The terrible thing is that a lot of what Israel are doing isn't even reported in the British media. They are nothing more than a propaganda tool for the Israelis. Israel are trying to commit genocide on the Palestinian people yet that side of the conflict is never reported. It's a complete disgrace. I've been a staunch supporter of the Palestinian cause for around 40 years since I studied about the middle east at school. The Green Brigade are brilliant with their support of Palestine. Celtic's home success was not boring' or, in any way, easy. Just look at the Scottish Cups and league, last season. They were hard fought and a great 'double' win, in the end. They just scraped a win at Dingwall recently; so Ross County was, perhaps, not the best example of easiness for Celtic.

@@leannecampbell4551 What a nonsense reductive take. You cannot seriously be comparing the goals of communists, even the most extreme Stalinist vanguardists (which many would argue betray the core values of communism), to the philosophy of a jingoist expansionist ethnostate. I don't agree with a lot of Tommy and George's politics, nor am I a communist, and I don't really think they are either, but saying they are the other side to the same coin as fascists or even someone like Farage is absolutely insane and/or disingenuous. I don't know why people think it's an intelligent worthwhile take to look at any two positions and say 'Ah, two things, they must be at opposite extremes and therefore are the same thing. I am very smart, and so I know the true path lies somewhere in the middle.' That's how we get increasingly right-wing Labour and Tories, Labour tries to capture the 'centre' and shifts right, moving the Overton window to the right, then Tories find the middle ground between New Labour and actual fascists and shift right too, ad nauseum. We have Labour spreading misinformation about refugees, continuing the Tories' hostile environment policy, cutting fuel benefit, continuing the gradual death of the NHS, continuing the endlessly debunked austerity economics of Osborne and Cameron, fueling far-right sentiment and general disillusionment across the UK and you're going 'Thank god we don't have a socialist in power, you soon discover they're as bad as the fascists!'

There is no dichotomy to the the left-right paradigm beyond a surface level, they serve the same Black Nobility/Atonist dynasties behind closed doors, hence why nothing ever changes but the figurehead faces in office; different face, to serve the same agenda. You just need to look at the inner circle of ‘aquanautancies’ these individuals on both sides of the ‘spectrum’ keep; all shaking hands in a past-grip manner behind closed doors, whilst leading the apathetically deluded and subservient herd 🐑 down the garden path! Dress it up how you will and use every comparative measure in the book when highlighting the alleged ‘polar opposite’ tenets and values of both ideological paradigms, you can perform all the mental gymnastics and whataboutery that you wish, but as history proves, you’ll always arrive at the exact same end game: centralisation of all power via the primary conduit of Dictatorial Despotism = the same devastating implications on an economic, political, social, and cultural level; resulting in complete desolation for the people, their freedoms and the land. There is no dichotomy to the the left-right paradigm beyond a surface level, they serve the same LHP Nobility/Dynasties behind closed doors, hence why nothing ever changes but the figurehead faces in office; different face, to serve the same agenda. You just need to look at the inner circle of acquaintances these ‘brethern’ on both sides of the ‘spectrum’ keep; all shaking hands in a past-grip manner behind closed doors, whilst leading the apathetically deluded and subservient herd 🐑 down the garden path! It truly takes a special individual not to have worked this out by now, then again, we are surrounded by a plethora of room temperature IQs…as the four years demonstrated more than ever! 😷😂

My guess is that when he was working as an MP or MSP (I can’t remember which), he would have to keep his footballing allegiance to himself for fear of alienating the electorate - it happens all the time with public figures. Now that he is out of politics he can now be more vocal about the team he supports? Just a theory !

I have to say that I went against my principles and listened to this. It was fascinating although I think George is prone to exaggeration and hyperbole. He said something I found interesting and had forgotten about. In the 60s and 70s the SNP were very much middle class, anti-Catholic and anti-Irish. This is not true now but many of my generation and my parents’ generation remembered this at the time of the referendum.

@@ACelticStateOfMind George McNeilage provides compelling testimony that Tommy started supporting Rangers and going to Ibrox in the 80s. This is supported by Tommy’s own statement that he stopped supporting Celtic after the Walters shame game. Later articles describe him as a Motherwell fan. His lies in the 2000s ruined countless people’s lives. George called himself a Dundee Utd fan until recent years. You said in response to someone else that you think he could be persuaded on independence. I have no doubt that is true. I like George and agree with most of his views, but his stance on independence has genuinely baffled me. Completely mind-boggling why he wants independence for everybody else on the planet bar his own country. How can you be a Celtic man a pro the British elite/establishment? Not having it. He really needs to let go of the bigoted Scotland of his past and move on. I'm from a Catholic family in Scotland, and we all support independence. Those days have passed, and he needs to accept it. He takes a dig at Alex Salmond at the start of the podcast being a Hearts fan. I've met Alex Salmond on a few occasions and he's as genuine as they come. Always has time for anybody who wants a chat with him. Again, not having his grievance politics.

Has anyone ever seen Galloway at Celtic Park? In my 50 plus years of going I've never seen him there once or even seen a photo of him there. He was my local MP in Hillhead and I never once heard him mention Celtic nor did I ever see him at church or hear of him going to church. I read Galloway's book on Neil Lennon and he had got all sorts of facts wrong for example saying Paddy McCourt and Niall McGinn played for Eire. In that book he also praises Souness calling him a class act. Onto his radio show and live on air he said he liked the Queen and in fact served her as a waiter but worse than that... live on air, he kept saying his old mate Tommy Sheridan was a Rangers supporter. In summary, I find it difficult to believe a word the man says.

As see-through as George is, I enjoyed the Celtic chat as I do with every guest; regardless of their persona, as it’s important to try and separate the two when 'exclusively' discussing Football/Celtic. This one however, was a real struggle! The hyperbolic working class rhetoric still spouted by an aristocratic Fabian like George, was an insult to anyone’s intelligence. The same when his mate and fellow Fabian ‘Charlatan Corbyn’ plays the working class Royal Flush number. Fabianism is another toff-inducted Shhh-Society, which if you even have a base level of discernment in symbol literacy and the encoded Gematria they obsessively use, you will know it’s just another branch of the Fraternal Lodge system. Its founders give that game away first and foremost (as do its former Etonian members), followed by their coat of arms; a Wolf in Sheep’s clothing, telling you quite literally, they are a covert front operating within the Scottish Rite. Watch out for the thumb getting pressed hard between the second and third knuckles of many of the 'established' hands George shakes. The guy is evidently a pawn in their game! Furthermore, the obligatory utopian glorification of Socialism in Cuba and Venezuela (and their vile dictators) from George, was once again complete and utter pish talk of the first degree! Something which was sadly allowed to pass without even any remote objection. On the several occasions George flew out first class to meet his good buddy Castro at his palace, he definitely skipped 80% of its landscape, which has been absolutely decimated by Socialism. Despite Machado and Batista ruling as they did, pre-1959/Castro Cuba was the most advanced and successful country in Latin America, and on the verge of true Democracy. The people of Cuba have and will continue to suffer for decades, not only from economic misery, but more so from the worst form of poverty; the severe lack of even the most basic of freedoms. All systematically created by the Socialist dictatorships that came before; None more so than Castro. It’s no coincidence that his former chief bodyguard described him as a “medieval overlord”. Exact same for the people of Venezuela too under his other buddy CHAVez, which prior to both his terms, went from a rich and powerful democracy to a Socialist dictatorship which eventually collapsed royally on its erse. Same for Bolivia, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil and Vietnam. Its not until you actually visit these places and see them with your own eyes, do you learn the Socialist utopian propaganda you’ve swalloped whole your entire life, is nothing but a complete myth! As for the Palestinian plight, no amount of virtue-signalling hot-air from either George or Tommy (or anyone else) will ever end an occupation that was established in 1948, especially when the majority of world Governments who have backed them since then, are still firmly under the thumb of the Cult of Zion; who own and control everything! If both really want to see change, they, like the rest of the hypocrites should stop paying John Bull aka Taxes, which directly funds the State of Israel. But, of course, they won't.
