"Bernardo Faria is a 5x World Champion. Bernardo started training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Juiz de Fora - MG, Brazil at the age of 14 in 2001. After receiving the Black Belt from his first instructor Ricardo Marques in 2008, He moved to Sao Paulo to join BJJ legend Fabio Gurgel and his Alliance team. After many years of training and winning many major titles, Bernardo moved to NYC in 2013 to train and teach at Marcelo Garcia Academy. In 2015 Bernardo achieved his dream of winning the IBJJF World Championship Open class title and his division, doing the double Gold and becoming the 1st in the IBJJF Ranking and also choosed as the best athlete of 2015.

There is a rule in cinema, where if you're going to show a gun as decoration, you better be using it by the end of the scene. When the video started I noticed the clock and thought about "why would they show that clock?" and then I freaked out when Bernardo used the clock to show how late they were filming. That was a great detail to have during an interview with such a brilliant instructor.

@@luos8901 He wanted to make a fundamentals instructional and even considered it being in the Gi. I don't know if he's thinking of incorporating passing into that. But a seperate instructional on passing and maybe also guard retention in one would be really cool.

THIS GUY IS A GREAT insturctor because...he is like a scientist...he learns the ins and outs of each position in great depth...and then puts it all together in a program. I train under roger gracie...and roger covers a lot of angles...but still not as much as this danaher guy....because this guy is a working theorist...roger is something different.

I'm not sure exactly when I decided to stop unpacking. But now a days I can't be bothered afterall it's only wrapping. If I knew exactly when and where to go to live my dreams. I jump on the first row boat I could find and just float until they kiai. I hope that I don't miss the chance to see the world anew. There are so many in this world; but lucky are very few.
