(I don't mean on individual companies but on the index) and do you think it can be useful? I don't think so as a neophyte..since the index trend is caused by the quotations of the companies that compose it..therefore the orderbook on the index, despite showing us levels of supply and demand..it is not useful to have an idea on the performance of the index itself.. what do you think?

Hello Marcello, thank you for your question. Order books are fake. Let me explain. All those banks and institutions are obliged by law to show any order in the order book. That is correct. NOW HERE COMES THE CATCH: The don't have to show their right intention. They can disguise the real order. They can show anything. They just have to show up there. This makes it completely useless.
