Started a unit on poetry with one of my students by having her bring in some songs that she liked and looking at literary devices in them. I tried to make the point to her that poems were really just songs without music. She said that people should put poetry to music. El Dorado happened to be one of the poems we were learning, and I stumbled across your video on here. Even though my student doesn't love poetry, she still enjoyed the song when I shared it with her. Thanks for making it. I like the medieval/techno fusion thing you have going on in it.

I did this too....well the other way around....my friend wanted me to write some lyrics to his composition.....in my mind I saw a lone cowboy searching for...what? Then I remembered this poem. It fit.
