Very clever! There is a sewing tool called a “bodkin” which is a “point turner” with a very small ball shaped tip so you don’t have to worry about a pointy tip poking through the corners.

I haven't made any labels yet. I have the Bernina 570 QEE. You downloaded the fusible frame from a USB. Where did the frame come from?

Sylvain digitized the frame but check out the related blog post to get more detailed information and the file.

Recently bout 770 QE & have no clue how to do embroidery. You showed me a lot of things I didn’t know. Can’t take lessons yet due to shutdown. Question how did you get the outline that you sewed around? Only showed it was in a folder on the video.
@BerninaInternational4 жыл бұрын
Hi Anne! The box was created in BERNINA software. You could also do this step at the sewing machine.
@faycarter86454 жыл бұрын
Thanks for great instructions. Can you please show me How we can make a label on a 570 without the embroidery module.
@BerninaInternational4 жыл бұрын
You can make a fusible label without an embroidery module on your B 570 QE. To do so: Since you don’t have the embroidery module, you can use lettering built into your machine. It will be smaller but will work just as well. Create your label on the intended fabric (e.g. muslin) first, before you cut it out. Cut out the label as a rectangle, allowing a quarter inch (~ 5mm) seam allowance all around. Cut a rectangle of fusible woven interfacing (e.g. OEST Woven Fusible) of the same size as the cut label. Sew the two rectangles together: Fusible side of the interfacing against the ‘right side’ of the label Using a quarter inch seam allowance Stitch all around the label, leaving no gap. Using scissors, slit the interfacing in the middle along several inches to allow to flip the label right side out. Roll the seam allowances to properly shape the label to the edges. DO NOT PRESS the label yet as you would fuse it your ironing board. Place the label with fusible backing on the project and fuse as instructed in the video.

Thank you for this viedo. At the end when you are going to stitch the fusible in, what do I select. I can not tell that part ?
@BerninaInternational3 жыл бұрын
Annie- we are glad you enjoyed Sylvain's presentation. There is no stitching at the end. Once the label is turned right side out, the fusible side of the lining is exposed and upon fusing the label to the back of a quilt it is secure without requiring any additional stitching.

Thanks so much. I’ve wanted to do this since I got my machine 570 we w/embroidery module. This will help so much. Where do you get the frame you used around the label?

I’ve seen these thread cutters to the right side a few times now. Does anyone know where I can buy one so I can stick it to my 770 QE plus? Or maybe an order number for Europe?
@BerninaInternational2 жыл бұрын
This cutter was added as part of the design on the 4 and 5 series machines- which came after the 7 series machines. I do not think the part is compatible with the 7 series- but I will share your feedback with our design team.
