I beat my head against a wall several years ago, struggling with this. My towels were a fail and I wasn’t at all happy. Your video so clearly explains how to make this adjustment that I wish I had a Time Machine to help past me with those towels. If I could teleport over to you, I’d give you a big hug, jump up and down with glee, and demand that you never, ever stop teaching.

Thank you Gayle! You are so creative and are always testing the water! Could you do this same operation in V9.? I would love to see you do it.

I’m so thankful to find your post. This helps me tremendously. Would you recommend adjusting the tension when increasing/decreasing stitches? Will the machine do that automatically? And would you recommend changing needle size accordingly? TY 😊

@@jebeljewel1210 this feature. Is independent of needle size and tension so adjust after you do a test if necessary.

Can this be done with fonts that are not Bernina machine fonts? I tried a test on “non machine” fonts but nothing changed. Maybe I’m missing something? Love your videos!

This works on the pre-loaded fonts that are on the machine

Is it normal for the stitch density to not show what you changed it to when you go back to make more adjustments (for example, change from 100% to 125%, go and look on screen and then return to stitch density tab to make more adjustments but it shows 100%).
@BERNINAofNaperville Жыл бұрын
Once you change the stitch density, it calculates it and when you go back, it is at 100% of that recalculated size. So if you change the stitch density of the altered design, then adjust stitch density again, it will be either way less dense or more dense.

Can we download font for our machine please
@BERNINAofNaperville Жыл бұрын
Fonts can’t be downloaded. What’s loaded on your machine is it. If you want more fonts you can purchase but each letter is a different embroidery file. The new BERNINA v9 software has keyboard mapping capabilities and we are offering a live Zoom class on this topic. See link here: www.berninaofnaperville.com/collections/bernina-owners-classes/products/bernina-embroidery-software-zoom-keyboard-mapping-for-fonts

What does step fill even mean? I googled it and Google doesn’t know either! (The link in the last comment does not work.)
@BERNINAofNaperville9 ай бұрын
In machine embroidery, there are several types of stitches. Step fill means that the needle makes several penetration points to get from A to B. Whilst a satin stitch just goes from A to B without penetration points in between. I've been thinking about how to respond to your comment. So, we made a video a while back called "dissecting an embroidery design", this may help you understand: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fDKERV
