Is it best to order the larger hoops from my local dealer where I got my machine? The large white hoops that have the large screw type knob, are those available for all hoops or just the bigger hoops? Great video. So glad I found you

HI Gayle, thanks for your videos, love them. I got my 790+ about 18 months ago and have been practising FMQ. But love the idea of quilting in the hoop. I got the larger hoop just recently so I would have that screw knob rachet for quilting. My question is, with the larger hoop I can get two quilting patterns that are in the folders on my machine but can I make them sew out in one go. I managed to get them both showing on my screen. I had a go and it stopped at the end of the first pattern then I had to start again for the 2nd pattern to sew. Hoping you can shed some light for me. TIA.

You need to select the monochromatic function. It’s an icon on the screen that shows theee color dots with an arrow to 3 yellow dots.

Hi ! You said that the jumbo is only for the 7 and 8 series : what happens if you put it on a serie 5 ? The machine doesn't recognize it or ie does work in fact ? Thanks !

It’s physically too big and will not fit in the 8 1/2” space to the right of the needle on the 5 series.

I have an 830 also, and you’re right; they’re hardly ever mentioned. It’s very difficult to find videos about them. I know they were discontinued rather quickly because of problems, but for those of us who have ones that work great, it’s a bit frustrating to find information.

What do you use to mark the center the fabric?

A variety of things. I’m quite partial to heat vanishing. Also like the blue water-soluble pens. I also have used the aqua film toppers and drawn a placement line with a micro thin sharpie.
