One of the best things about your channel is the way you critique your own progress to show us how a good practice routine can greatly improve even your playing !! Not just showing us how to do it but also show us the results of implementing said practice routine will help us achieve our playing goals !! Thank you , Bernth !!

I have watched lots of people but seriously, you can never find a person who uses him/herself as an example to teach people right way, bernth previously used his 10 years progress using his old footage, and now this one. Sometimes i dont even watch videos of past me let alone sharing with whole community, i admire his art without a doubt, but anyone can admire this kinda personality. You are great bernth, never leave us.

Brother I cant believe how on the same wavelength we are right now. Started a journal 2 weeks ago, structuring my time to get the most out of each practice, and finding the challenges. I have a 5 year goal, with each section broke down into 1000 hr increments. I will be watching you for guidance, as I've already been using some of your finger exercises in my routine. Rock On BERNTH!

This Video is super inspirational! My real learning experience started when my girlfriend gifted me the 10 steps program from you about a year ago. I started to take everything a lot more seriously and developed a pratice routine with the course and your videos which helped me a lot! I‘ve seen a lot of similar mistakes in my playing in comparison to the „mistakes“ you did in 2017. too much motion in both hands, holding the pick wrong and a flying pinky. But thanks to your videos these bad habits are getting changed and i hope to get some good progress over this year!

I enjoyed how you broke this down and some of it reminds me of both my own progress and things I had to remember going into it. Currently, I’m working on both increasing alternate picking speed and sweep picking. For both. I found that it’s a challenge to remind myself not to speed up if I’m not ready. I’m a bit self-critical so it’s also reminding myself that I can’t expect results over night. The positive side of it is remembering that, once upon a time, I couldn’t sweep pick. Like, at all. I can at least do it slowly with occasional speed bursts. I like to think of these things as reasons to keep going. Plus, your exercises are tremendously helpful. Keep up the awesome work, man. 👍👍

I certainly admire that progress and the effort to devote completely to the guitar. I do sometimes like 10h daily or even more than 12, because i love it, the same as piano. But i think as more you learn as less is the musical taste on making serious simple things and contrary they sound more complex and less interesting. In my opinion i like more what you did before than today. But that's personal opinion, velocity sometimes doesnt mean that it's better. Thanks Bernth for sharing your knowledge I have learnt a lot and you're part of the bricks that help me improved.

I'd like to see a video on how to efficiently targeting chord tones with triads and extensions when soloing, and when shredding in particular. I understand how to do it but if there are more efficient ways to do it and to make a quick decision on which tone to target, and WHEN to target it, that would be great to know. Especially when changing scale positions.

I'm still trying to practice getting my right hand up to speeds and most importantly precision, but often, especially when I try to do fast runs, it's just not up to the task and I end up only hitting the first note and playing the rest legato with hammer ons/pull offs. It's got its advantages too, especially when I hit them good they sound really clean, but I still have absolutely no idea just how to even get my right hand up to speed so far xD

Hey Bernth! Great stuff! I’m relatively new to your videos after watching them for the past few months and I got a question in regards to holding the pick. Does it matter how it’s held on your hand? I’m having trouble looking at how you hold the pick as you demonstrated at the end of your video.

Hey,bernth do you have any exercises for alternate picking between strings??
@e_xcalibur5783 жыл бұрын
Hi bernth, I have a doubt about alternate picking. I'm confused that if i play something (for example a fast 3 note per string pattern) on a string (for example d string) then will i have to start with a downstroke on the g string? I play by using down up picking but i play downstroke everytime the string is below and use upstroke if string is above. I hope you understand what I'm saying and reply.
