FOURTH OF JULY BERRY TRIFLE
3 or 4-quart size glass bowl. Set aside.
4 cups fresh strawberries, rinsed, dried, & hulled (2 cups sliced in halves, and 2 cups sliced in quarters, plus 3-4 large strawberries to garish top of TRIFLE
1-1/2 cups fresh blueberries, rinsed and dried
1 (10-12 ounce) angel food cake, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 (3.4 ounce) box vanilla instant pudding
2 cups whole milk, chilled
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 (5-ounce) carton vanilla Greek yogurt
1 (8-ounce) container frozen non-dairy whipped dessert topping, thawed
1. Whisk together instant pudding and milk for 2 minutes, or until mixture has thickened. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl; beat together cream cheese and yogurt until light and fluffy. About 1 minute. On low-speed beat in pudding mixture until well blended. Gently fold in container of whipped dessert topping. Cover and chill until ready to assemble trifle.
3. To assemble, spoon 1/3 of cake cubes into the bottom of a 3 or 4-quart glass bowl. Top with 1/3 of pudding mixture. Arrange strawberry halves and blueberries above pudding layer around edge of glass bowl. Fill in the center with 1/3 of strawberry quarters and 1/3 of blueberries. Add another 1/3 of cake layer, and 1/3 pudding mixture. Arrange strawberry halves and blueberries along edge of glass bowl and fill in center with another 1/3 of strawberries and blueberries. Add the remaining angel food cake squares pressing down gently. Add remaining pudding mixture.
4. Decorate top of TRIFLE with remaining strawberries and blueberries.
5. Cover and chill in refrigerator up to 5 hours or overnight.
