LeeAnn is a hell of a woman, Bert consider yourself lucky, these women don't come around often. Her perspective is fascinating and she is very well spoken. Really enjoyed this podcast (this is my first episode, sorry if all of this is common knowledge)

The part about putting an unfair burden on the victim...so true. Everyone has an opinion - lighten up, you should have screamed, you should have bitten him, you should have told the police right away, did you enjoy it? is that why you didn't scream? You're stupid. Girls like this are so dumb. Thank you, Bert, for trying so hard to understand us.

The best thing you said Bert, was at 40:20 about us all being different but by listening to each other, it opens our eyes about the life and situations that each of us is going through. If we ever want to get our being racist towards each other and finally come together rather than dividing us all, we should all just listen, or if you can, hang out with and get to know the other person you have your prejudice thoughts about and you may just see that we all have more in common than you think. Oh this guy or lady likes this music, or this tv show, or movie or enjoys doing this on the weekends the same as me. Great stuff !!!

Love the Podcast! Thx for sharing LeeAnn... Here's a thought. People always say things like "men don't listen when you talk to them" or "he just doesn't pay attention to what I say" or I know we've all heard "men are like little babies that need to be led around and don't always get social queues". But when it comes to the Aziz issue now I hear people say "why didn't he pick up on these queues" or "he should of known" We can't be dumb primates that don't get women feelings, and also be sensitive enough to pick up on woman queues. I'm 100% sure that if this woman said to him "Hey this isn't cool, I'm not here to just fu$k you. If that's all you want then I"m out. I guarantee you he'd either respect her more or kick her out. Either way we never would of heard about it.

This podcast was great, I love listening to LeeAnn and Bert discuss things, their perspectives are incredibly interesting to parse through. Just something to note with regards to the MeToo discussion, it may not be fair to compare this lady's experience to that of others that are "worse", because it diminishes her personal experience. It's the exact reason many women don't come forward, because they are afraid that someone will do exactly that (meaning "oh come on, it wasn't that bad and so many people out there have it worse"). As much as comparison to "more" traumatising experiences is a useful tool in giving perspective, it simultaneously diminishes the pain and experience of people on an individual level (and we don't get to tell someone how they should be affected by what has happened to them simply because we would react differently). In the realm of personal experience, we all have different benchmarks for trauma and pain, what is a non-issue to one person may be the worst night of someone else's life, and that's where empathy becomes important (it's something I've had to learn for myself too)...

Dude I love you but its fucking ridiculous how every podcast gets warped into a "whats wrong with Bert" episode. Literally killing your vibe man. I hope you read this and think about it. Watch any of your podcasts and you turn it into a therapy session for yourself....and it sucks cause you are a killer podcaster and I love your comedy//insight. I hope you hash this behavior with your actual therapist. I know you don't do it on purpose. I mean that out of love, I literally can't listen to a full podcast anymore once you start up with that cringe content and I have been an avid supporter since episode 1!
@devinb99857 жыл бұрын
SRNF he's been doing this since his first appearance on Joe Rogan. Sometimes he can reel it in if he is around somebody who he looks up to (Joe, Burr, or Joey) but he is a narcissist. It's really bad when he is around newer comedians and apparently also his wife lol. I've never judged him on it and actually get a laugh out of it sometimes personally, like in this episode I laughed because he had to immediately relate the woman's story about Aziz to himself having Aziz finger his mouth then jerk him off.

One time I saw something horrible happen against a woman and I reported it to the police ( I was barely 16) and she denied it in the end they said there was nothing they could do since she denied it so me witnessing it and reporting it did nothing. I guess my point is it’s kind of unfair to blame the people it didn’t happen to for not reporting it
